Sounds like Dean wants to be our second "black President."

This is telling:

" He said he had the "traditional white liberal idea that if black people were like us then we'd all be fine. Sort of like the Republican idea. If we all played golf at the same country club, then there wouldn't be any racial problems."

The same liberal ideas are roosting in those from the Northeast who come to this area to live. They have to be quietly pulled aside and told that the attitudes of the north, paternalism, bigotry and elitist behavior don't play well in the very integrated South.

It's continuing idiotic statements like this by all the 9 8 dwarfs that is making a mockery of the democratic party.

IMO, The GOP and Bush should keep their mouths shut up until Convention time as there is nothing that can be said that would cause greater damage to the dems than the idiotic statements of Dean, Kerry, etc.

Let's keep feeding the the rope and handing out the shovels.

You know, I was critical of James Carville for saying that Dean had had a political lobotomy. I never thought I'd be apologizing to ol' Snake-head, but Jimbo, I'm sorry. You were right. Dean is as politically deft as a bear-cub with boxing gloves on its paws.

Well he just lost my vote. Not that he had it to start with, but I had such high hopes for the boy.

I thought Dean had been at Bob Jones University-- didn't he say, "It was awful! Doo-Doo feces everywhere!"-- oh wait, that was some of Michael Jackson's comments--- never mind.

That does it. I'm now officially on the "this guy has no clue" bandwagon. I grew up in SE Alabama in the 60's and 70's. I guess one could say I was 'Home-schooled" in race relations. Oh my God, this guy is nuts, "N-V-T-S, NUTS!", as Mel Brooks would say. Park Avenue, Yale, Vermont...Geez!! I couldn't agree with post #3 more.

Note the Boston Globe also blandly calls all republicans racists. I'm sick and tired of being insulted and discriminated against by the left and the RAT lapdog media just because I'm white.

What the hell can Howard the Duck do to educate me about race?

I live in Michigan which has a large black population. He's from Vermont, one of the whitest states in the country.

Dean is a Divider and this is a classic example. You would expect a true statesman to talk about the need for all races to find common ground with each other and move forward together. Now compare that with Dean: "Dealing with race is about educating white folks." Do you see how an inept politician can make a difficult, thorny issue even worse through tactics of division? To fault one race for race relations is a non-starter. This guy is very dangerous, in a lot of ways.

Perhaps Dean should educate himself. After all the Dems ARE the party of slavery. Look at the track record:
1) The first Republican President freed the slaves that the Dems had held for decades before the Republican party was created.
2) It was a Republican president who desegregated our schools. Where were the Dems? Ask George Wallace.
3) It was a Republican president who desegregated the military.
4) It was a Republican Senate who passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

"Dealing with race is about educating white folks"

I was trying my best to hate Dean's policies, behavior, but not the person, but with this it's official.

I HATE Howard Dean.

What a pathetic little manipulative race-baiting bastard.
