If the US wishes to retain manufacturing supremacy then it must become at least as busines friendly as a communist country. The question is, do we want to maintain manufacturing surpremacy?

The question is, do we want to maintain manufacturing surpremacy? Thats a good question.
- Traditionally, people with money don't live in neighborhoods with factories. Nowdays a greater number of Americans have money and do not want to live near factories.
- The factories are now relocating to neighborhoods in other countries. That results in more "desirable" US neighborhoods for houses.
- Aren't US environmentalists happy that America is getting rid of smelly factories?
Even though unemployed US factory workers are unhappy, a lot of other people are happy the factories are gone.
My question... which manufacturing capabilities do we need to keep in the US, in order to remain strong and secure?

If we don't want to maintain manufacturing supremacy then perhaps we will be happy to trade $17-an-hour jobs at ABC Stamping Corp. for $6-an-hour jobs at Burger Joe's. Who will be the first to volunteer? Let's see a show of hands.
