D.C. Fox affiliate WTTG-5 reported a few minutes ago that British Airways flight 223 has been detained on the tarmac at Dulles Airport, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C.
The flight landed at 7:06 p.m. Passengers have not been allowed to deplane. Some family members waiting at the terminal were able to speak with some of the passengers via cellphone. They were told TSA and other security personnell are interviewing passengers and inspecting luggage.
Over two hundred passengers and crew are on the plane.
More to follow as reported. Please forgive any errors as this just caught my ear.

FBI spokesman says it was routine questioning of some passengers. Hardly routine, wouldn't you say?

I heard today that the Helicopters will be patrolling the skies over several cities today and tomorrow. They are watching! This is a good thing. Something really is up though with all that has been going on. Stay safe!

Don't know but, at least they aren't telling us to go shopping. The only shopping I plan to do tonight is to hit the fireworks stands right before they close. (They knock everything down to cost).

No, it's to the far right of the plane (not attached). It's sitting lengthwise with the opening facing the plane. It's not shown in all the footage but when the camera pulls out.

Hope it's just a false alarm.
It wouldnt bother me either.
I sent my kid off today on a plane and made him wash real good after launching fireworks last night. I expected major security problems today, but to my suprise things went very smoothly. If these folks have been delayed there is prob a reasonable doubt on the part of authorities.
They arent taking fingernail files anymore, there must be a reasonable doubt. I'd rather wait an hour than be blown the hell up.

Just south of the toll road?
Dude? Did you just hear a huge explosion?
No joke... Either someone just set off a stick of dynamite in my neighborhood or something big blew up... Checking the news now.
