I'd like to know who.....I can't find anything other than this thread.

I've been following this since this thread started, and that little incident did make my heart skip a beat. Of course, I have no expertise, this could be a routine re-route into LAX.

>>make that: I read the media ISN'T reporting on this (sheesh).<<
Yeah, but why would they? There doesn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary going on. Shrug.

I stand corrected. :-)

live shot from chopper 2 Not much of a problem for them, the north-south helicopter corridor runs right over the center of the runways.

All the Air France flights from Paris after Christmas going to LAX have been escorted in, as well as all flights inbound to LAX from Mexican airspace.
This was reported vaguely in the press.

Altitude down to 28800 according to fboweb.com.

AF 68 will make a turn to the east and then make a right hand turn to land at the west in LAX.
His flight path showed a track across Canada until around Idaho and then a turn to the south. A lot of major US cities are avoided that way. Cool!

Yep, and there is a fine museum at MKE. Just be thankfull they didn't name the airport after another Milwaukee war hero, Dick Bong!
I usually have to fly to MKE whenever I want to go to Chicago. I still have flight benefits, but the flights to O'Hare are usually full. BTW, MKE airport has the cheapest and largest beer servings of any airport I have been at in the USA! (it figures eh?)

I thank God my daughter landed safely late last night, without incident, in Ontario, CA, departing from Syracuse Airport...and was not bound to LAX today, instead!

It shows him at 38000 ft. Speed about 580Kts and heading about 175 degrees just passing Bakersfield, Ca. I wondered why the extreme altitude that close to LA???

(Is Saddam room temperature yet?)
To: oceanview
It's not decending yet because there is a mountain range between Bakersfield and LA (the Tehachapi mountains)
