Like I said, until the airlines in this country get their act together, I'm only going to fly El Al.

One of the *many* differences between them and the airlines here is that they profile for terrorists while ours profile for weapons.

I think we're starting to profile for terrorists, too. And I think we've refined our profiles, as I mentioned in an earlier post. We'll be catching more of them, I'm sure, although it may not be mentioned very much.

Remember, in terms of population and territory, Israel is a flyspeck compared to the US. Furthermore, not all the world wants to go to Israel, but it appears that all the world does want to come to the US.

So it's naturally going to be a lot harder for us to put everything in place and refine our profiles, but I think a lot of progress has been made.

Another thing that will help is the new incoming and outgoing thumbprint system that's going into effect in Jan. (for non-citizens only).
