I could not find an article yet.

I am sure people on those flights would rather be delayed than be blown to smithereens.

I've flown back from DeGaulle twice and I've found the security in France to be much tighter than LAX or a half a dozen other airports in the US.

And his name was "Richard Reid" and he was from London. Remember?
But let's say he was French anyway, because we're stupid and hate French people!

I'll betcha it was concern over the flight crews. And if it was the flight crews, wonder how long they've been working for Air France..?

I called my contacts in France and they tell me nothing is wrong. They spoke with Air France and things seem ok. The French I speak and work with are great people. The other comments I see seem small-minded. We are all in this war together. Some people are helping and some are not. Don't generalize the rest for the actions of a few dopes. I hope the French stay safe as well as ourselves. God bless everyone!

Some people resent the French because they can't pronounce all them French words on the menu at fancy restaurants The real problem is Muslims in France
As I pointed out earlier, if the French have helped thwart a real threat here, then I say hurrah for them.
But any resentment I have for them is not due to French words at fancy restaurants (good grief), but their behavior running up to and beyond the war in Iraq.

They're looking out for their own interests, genius, like every country in the world.
24/12/2003 20:36 - (SA) Paris - French authorities cancelled three Air France flights to Los Angeles airport on Wednesday after the US embassy in Paris warned it feared they might be used for terrorist attacks.
Interior ministry officials said the order was given after a top-level ministerial meeting was called to consider the embassy alert.
In Los Angeles, officials said the city's airport was experiencing its tightest security clampdown since the September 11, 2001 attacks.
The United States on the weekend raised its nationwide alert of attacks to an "elevated" level.

I tell you what: we oughta build a fence and a wall between the US and France like the Isrealis are building over there! Problem solved!

Say it with me: freedom fries, freedom fries, freedom fries. Isn't that fun?
Did you hear the one about the french surrender papers? They're made out "to whom it may concern."

Totally agree with you and I'd rather end up looking like a fool on this one but I don't trust the french.

Somehow I doubt that the intell involved and the requests made originated with the French... I agree. There is apparently enough information to assess either their time on target, or the targets themselves. With enough little clues, we can narrow it down quite a bit.
I just hope that they got the right flights. AQ knows we're onto them, so it would be easy for them to create a diversion to lead our blockers away from the guy with the football.
