MSNBC just announced that three flights from Paris to the U.S. have been suddenly cancelled due to "security concerns". The first flight was scheduled to depart Paris heading for Los Angeles.

Blame it on Berkley and Hollywood for why alot see CA as liberal. I'm sure many of you are just fine, but the liberal crowd is very loud. Hey..I made a rhyme. Yippee.

The United States handed French authorities the names of suspicious people who may have intended to board the flights but no people by those names went through airport security checks, the Interior Ministry said, adding that no arrests were made. As if they didn't have fake IDs...

Well, he shoulda been French! :-) Just because he is a British citizen doesn't preclude a possible French background. We need a DNA test to be sure. Or just sneak up behind him and yell "Achtun!" and see if he surrenders.

I'm sorry, but I would NOT hand anything to the French authorities in the hopes of them getting "it" right. It would be time for some major profiling. Detain first, ask questions later. It's the only way we're going to nab the terrorists.

Maybe day#2 flights were intended as "missiles" and day#1 was positioning personnel (land and deplane in LAX, possibly with specific "contents" on board) for bio/chem.That makes sense. And if the day#2 flights were the day#1 flights returning to France, they would be loaded with fuel - better missiles.

Steve Emerson on MSNBC reporting, officials are trying to find and arrest an al-qaeda operative who was apparently trying to board or supposed to board one of the early cancelled French flights.

France didn't just oppose the war, France actively campaigned in foreign capitals against US interests. The French government, if not the people, is directly responsible for higher than necessary coalition casualties in the Iraq war.

A CNN reporter at LAX said a flight to Cincinnati was cancelled. Wonder why.

We've fought beside them in WWI and WWII. Actually, we saved their skinny French butts in WWI and WWII. For which the current generation has been exceedingly ungrateful.

I think it was Patton who said he'd rather have a German division in front of him than a French division behind him.

ABC is reporting that we told them to cancel the filghts. Translation: We informed the Franch that the flights were a security risk and would not be GIVEN PERMISSION to land. There was nothing to do but cancel or reroute the flights. I certainly hope all countries that handle international flights can cooperate with intel and operations as necessary.
