Flights From Paris to U.S. Cancelled
MSNBC | December 24, 2003

Posted on 12/24/2003 10:41:16 AM PST by cyncooper

MSNBC just announced that three flights from Paris to the U.S. have been suddenly cancelled due to "security concerns". The first flight was scheduled to depart Paris heading for Los Angeles.

I could not find an article yet.

Took a good deal of high-level conversations between US and French government in order to reach decision

France likely knew they needed to make a decision but didn't know if to cancel the flights or surrender.

The left wingers on the left coast will never be committed in this war against Islamofascist Terrorism.

They literally hate GW, Christians, Real Jews and conservatives so much, they would never join the rest of America in the war on terrorism

Here's why you're both right and wrong. As far as the hard lefties, you're totally correct. They'll be blaming Bush even as they're being lined up against the wall and shot by the Sharia morality police. They are beyond reasoning with.

Most of Califoria is just not that dedicated. Many people don't give that much thought to things, and don't really seem to understand that there is life outside of California. They're liberal because they don't know better, they don't care to learn more, and it's easier to feel than think.

So long as the fight remains a non-Californian thing, they won't really feel it. If a giant skyscraper in the middle of the city explodes in fire and crashes to the ground, burying the city in dust, they'll feel it. Literally millions of people on the fence will take it very, very personally.

Thanks - it's not because of the wall that I'm partial to Hadrian, but that when he rebuilt the Pantheon in Rome he put "Agrippa Built Me" as the huge inscription - in other words, he didn't toot his own horn. A pretty class act for an emperor.

that Air France itself had been infiltrated.

I was watching FoxNews, and I didn't hear that. Must have been when I tuned out their other BS stories.

Algerian immigrant pilots or navigators. I will bet that the French have some problems in Air France.

This is really interesting: Fox News: breaking...US learned through Iranian sources and others that Air France itself had been infiltrated. Took a good deal of high-level conversations between US and French government in order to reach decision.

I have to call our younger son. His land lady is a senior flight attentdant with Delta. Several packages to her or him this past month have been opened with nothing missing. We had to send his Christmas Presents, via UPS/FED EX. He commented a couple of weeks ago, if someone could have been look for her uniforms. He needs to contact her and start the locals in his area looking at these open boxes. I didn't realize that Delta had a partnership with AF until it was posted on this thread.

We're spending Christmas in Oak Harbor with our daughter and Navy husband. I much prefer summers up here.

I take this to mean that either pilots or ground crew have been confirmed to be al-Qaida. The French might have been told that we wouldn't allow the planes to enter US airspace.

I doubt the French took this news in a friendly fashion.

"Air France itself had been infiltrated"

"What's "infiltrated" mean in this case? Any more word?"

Officials say al-Qaida operatives may be fully trained airline pilots

Authorities raised the terrorist threat assessment over the weekend after new intelligence indicated that operatives of Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaida terror network, possibly trained and licensed to fly passenger jets, may now be pilots for some foreign airlines, ideally positioning them to carry out suicide attacks, U.S. officials told NBC News on Monday.

Enjoy a Plowman's Lunch with a couple of on taps at a good pub for me!

Will do (expect for the couple part ;-).

...what can you do? Pray and be vigilant, and that's about it.

Exactly, my friend. Best wishes to you on your trip. Stay safe and aware.

Then he's really confused! Aren't the Dems the ones saying there are no WMD?

Yup...I couldn't understand it either. I am now convinced more than ever that it is a JG alter ego after I saw this:

aquaculture posted: Nope, it's me who belongs on a conservative website, not people who want to use America's military to further Israel's interests (Wolfowitz, Perle, Feith). Those are neoconservatives, and they're welcome to join a website of their own. I'm on an American website.

JohnGalt posted to me yesterday: If you were any friend to George W. you would use your passion to put distance between him and the Iraqiots, Wolfowitz, Cheney, Libby, Feith et al.

It is either JG or one of his Lew Rockwell lovin' buddies...either way there's a screw loose somewhere.

They don't need to "hijack" the planes -- they are the official pilots!

See my post 472:

Specific Intell, the threat was precise. This was probably along the lines of what happened, US intelligence has a watchlist, which has stopped about a dozen or so people from entering the US recently. The intelligence was probably gathered from a passenger list, or a maintence list, meaning maybe that someone had done something before the plane had been boarded, ex. food services, cleaners....., or even that someone was to be checking in.

Look behind every international back-stab in the last 100 years. They've encouraged the destruction of Canada twice, just as an example. France is nobody's friend

Again: France is nobody's friend.
