MSNBC just announced that three flights from Paris to the U.S. have been suddenly cancelled due to "security concerns". The first flight was scheduled to depart Paris heading for Los Angeles.
I could not find an article yet.

I wonder how accurate this article is when it claims our alert was raised to elevated......it was raised to HIGH.

Why don't they just ban ALL incoming flights that do not originate in the USA?

Hope you're right and I'm wrong...i just don't trust the french on anything.

Not French, Irish, English, Norwegian and German! But disgusted by silly anti-French attitudes toward one of our most important allies, historically and today.

I wonder if the French concerns had anything to do with a request from the American Embassy... I bet I know how that conversation went: Listen France, might as well keep those planes on the ground because we aren't going to let them into US airspace.
One of the 747s was scheduled to land at LAX at 4pm pacific time. Someone do the math and see if it was in the air yet, or still on the ground.
(Well, actually, we don't know when the flights were canceled...)

Opposing Operation Iraqi Freedom isn't a bad thing, JB. A lot of good Americans opposed it, too, including conservatives.

Its not a question of "good' or "bad", its one of 'true' or 'false'.

...one of our most important allies, historically and today.ROTF!!!!! Hee hee. That's a good one!

"Absolutely, if France (and Canada, Germany, Syria etc) had not done everything they could to sabotage us at the UN, Iraq could have been taken without a single shot being fired."
This comment needs a sarcasm tag. If you're serious, I don't think you've been paying attention for the last eight months. There is no way the Ba'athists were going to give up power without a fight.

During the Clinton years I missed Ron....I missed George H. W. Bush....I missed Jerry....Heck, I even missed Jimmy.
Sudden cancellation of flights looks really bad to me, and I don't like the way the dollar has been falling while gold prices are soaring.

Fine, your opinion. But now, can I write "Screw Israel and the Israeli people," or is that somehow different from what you've written?

I work for a French owned company. I have met one decent Frenchman - The rest are arrogant pricks. Still I'm sure there are some decent French.
I think their attempts to appease the Muslim world will bite them in the ass.
