South of Fresno as well (Lemoore) and I sure felt it I'm east of you (Visalia).
My Mom and I have been lightheaded and nauseated for the past couple of days. Researchers have found the subtle energy released just before quakes can cause headaches, nausea and dizziness.
Or it could just be a coincidence :-)
Animals supposedly get agitated and act funny right before a quake.

Well, it was just me and 3 others working that day - everyone else was freaked out! Are you sure they were just freaked out? In a bad earthquake you're supposed to stay off the roads so that emergency personnel can get through. There was quite a bit of damage from the Northridge quake and there were a couple of people killed because they were driving on damaged roads. Also, there's always the chance that it was just a foreshock, and you're safest in your own home. I grew up in CA and really don't worry about earthquakes at all, but I'm still going to follow the proper procedure when one hits close by.

Me and my better half were sipping some coffee sitting on the beach in Ventura; it felt like we were sitting on top of jello for nearly a minute - it completely flattened the waves for about 3 minutes. The first wave after was a doozy - these 2 guys boogey borading in the ocean got out after the big wave boiled them good!

Paso Robles - no power, no gas, no cell phones I've been in Paso Robles and that is no change from normal.

I'm actually in the Aptos mountain, sitting on the epicenter of the '89 quake. These puppies REALLY get MY attention.
Oh, and by the way, HOWDY NEIGHBOR!

I'm in San Francisco. I was on the phone with someone else in SF. He felt it before I did. Just a wide swaying (north & south) back and forth, which lasted a long time. It was the least scary earthquake I've ever felt. Much better than those up & down earthquakes.

Oh, just a big crack-up, huh! :)

I'm afraid there may be more news like that. A 6.5 is quite a strong quake, although the depth was somewhere around 5 miles down which helps. News choppers are now on way up there, LA news staying on for now.

You're feeling aftershocks? I'm in SF. I haven't felt an aftershock yet.

hmmm....my wife didn't sleep last night and finally got out of bed and just stayed up. She said both cat and dog were weird all morning (dog whining and restless and cat running around attacking imaginary enemies and such) and then she freaked when it hit.
This was only her second so she's more nervous about them.
Maybe females re more sensitive...oh wait. What am I saying?! Of COURSE they are...grins

Howdy back, neighbor! Yep, we had just bought our new home here 6 months before the '89 7.1 Loma Prieta quake. smack dab on the Zayante fault, and about 5 miles from the epicenter of Loma Prieta. As native Californians, we're used to these... We all laugh and say that we can guess the magnitude before the USGS reports it!

Listening / Watching KRON - eyewitness saying that the historic buildings are damaged, all buildings lost windows, and reports 2nd hand that the clock tower is a total loss.
Just a reminder to all to avoid large windows during quakes. Avoid the entranceway to buildings too - things fall off of facades a lot during quakes....

It's a great hospital. We have the world's greatest Physician-in-Chief (I'm her secretary)! Hey, everyone...if you don't have Kaiser coverage, get it! You would be doing yourself a great favor. (It pays to advertise, but that's not why I'm telling you this. I had Kaiser coverage long before I started working here, and when I changed jobs and the company didn't provide Kaiser coverage, I hated it. Couldn't wait to get back to Kaiser.)
