San Gabriel Valley area here. It felt like a light rolling motion for maybe 30 seconds. Our chandelier was swaying (it's our quake detector).

Usually, if you feel an earthquake as a light motion, it mean the quakes epicenter is far away. The closer you are to the epicenter, the more violent the motion of the quake will feel.

I think they are reporting a 6.5 off the coast , up North. I wonder if there will be a tsunami warning?

I'd think it was the San Andreas, except for the fact that the east bay doesn't report problems....

The geology department at Cal State used to have a big map that showed all the faults in northern CA – there’s a million of them.

In our area (San Leandro, Hayward) we sit on top of the Hayward fault, but there are many lesser faults in the area along with some big ones too…

Anyway, didn’t feel a thing here but that’s not unusual. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

Just talked to my own sis in Thousand Oaks, and she didn't feel a thing. It's odd how certain areas closer to the epicenter remain unaffected.
