It's perfect strategery. As I recall, she is pro 'states determining choice'. That alone will cause howls of pain from the pro choice left.

As far as affirmative action, I wouldn't hold that against her. It's simply too soon for any politicians aspiring for the presidency to come out against it. Give it another five to ten years before that one moves.

But, as you said, she's a hawk, and a brilliant one at that. I'd be perfectly happy with her at the helm.

If Condi is a good VP, and then becomes president, it would drive a stake into the heart of the 'we only nominate white guys' DNC. She would make a good CINC, he is very electable, and she would cause irreperable damage to our enemies.

No one else brings all this to the table.

Yes, that's what I recall too. A rather conservative position, isn't it? Damn, nice to hear someone agree with me about Condi for a change!

And you're right: A Condi nomination would push the Rats over the edge. It would really give a huge push to the Black Conservative movement -- one of the biggest fears of the left. When the largely religious black community starts to wake up, watch out Dems. A huge portion of their constituency will be drained away overnight. Condi can help that to happen sooner than later.
