If that is the fate of the world, then that must be the way God wants it. I can't see how anything can happen without the hand of the Almighty being involved.

God expects us to fight against evil.

It may be that God wants us to act as a moral and spiritual force in the world. It may well be a challenge to us.

I can't see how anything can happen without the hand of the Almighty being involved. It's one of the big puzzles in histories. Most heresies have withered away over time. Most of the crueler religions have been ameliorated or defeated. Islam is the one great heresy that has done nothing but grow. It finished off the Roman empire. It finished off the great civilization of Egypt. It finished off the civilization of Persia. It brought down Byzantium and the Eastern Roman Empire. It has grown almost as fast as Christianity itself.
You can understand why, in a way. Islam is designed for conquest, and designed not to let go of anything once it has hold of it. But you still have to wonder what God has in mind.

God helps those who help themselves.
Remember the old joke about the man in the flood, sitting on his roof, refusing several offers of rescue by saying "God will save me.", until finally he is swept away. And he cries out "God, why didn't You save me?" and God answers him "I sent 2 boats, a jet ski and a helicopter, what more did you want me to do?"

Satan is the prince of this world. We have the Comforter in this interim, but God has yet to establish His Kingdom on earth.
This is something most Christians overlook.

The Good Lord helps those that help themselves ! That is why the West with it's Greco-Judeo-Christian culture is finding cures to diseases & contemplating going out to study the stars & planets & all of God's wonderous works and why the muslim world is barely advanced beyond the outdoor privy ! It is because they are always saying if Allah wills it & sit back & wait for somebody else to get the job done.

I tend to agree with you. God has a plan even for the muslims. I believe many of them will come to Christ. We sometimes get worked up about things, forgetting that God knows exactly what's going on and He's moving continually on our behalf. I'm not going to get worked up about this stuff because I know who holds the future.
