Democratic Underground is the mainstream left. It is important to expose them.

"The people at DU represent the core of the Democrat party. The ones who won't rest until the law allows a complete stranger to marry your dog"

It's amazing how they're savaging Lieberman. Somebody has actually fixed up a Bush/Lieberman logo and is using it as a sig. He is absolutely No. 2 on their hate list behind Bush. They make fun of the way he's serious about practicing his religion, make fun of his stand on morality in entertainment, accuse him of having blood on his hands for supporting the war, etc.

Now, I'm not likely to vote for Joe Lieberman anytime soon. I disagree with him on many, MANY issues. He did talk a good game about Clinton, but ultimately wussed out. Still, from all I know about him he's a good, decent and honorable man. And unlike the DU folks, I can say that even though I disagree with him substantially on many issues. If the Dems don't want him anymore ... well, I don't know that I'd want him to switch sides in the Senate because he'll probably never be totally right on the issues to our satisfaction, but I think it would be a coup to entice him into some kind of role in the second Bush Administration, maybe in foreign policy or defense?

In that case, I stand corrected. I could have sworn Baghdad Bob uttered those words. Maybe it was a parody.

The Opinion Journal has been quoting the official Democrat party web blog, "Kicking Ass", as well as DU. The Kicking Ass site is even more significant than DU because it should provide a peek inside the official left thoughts.

And there he goes again! He's reading a post by someone bemoaning the fact that the stock market's doing well today and the economy's improving. Oh NO! Can't have that...it might help Bush!

The Wall Street Journal is the one that first mentioned it.
