It is commonly understood the power to alter the death sentence lies within the pen of the governor. His incredulous plea of asking for direction from legal scholars as to the authority of his office was met. A number of sources pointed the way. None were used.

But, Robert, Jeb Bush said he had no authority to stop this KIND of death sentence, because it came from a CIVIL court, instead of a criminal court. Do you think Bush has actually told these judges that they can starve her and he will no longer try to intervene? This is madness and nobody (or at least not enough) care or even know about this?
