WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential candidates welcomed news Sunday of Saddam Hussein's capture, saying the arrest of Iraq 's former dictator marked a great day for U.S. soldiers, the people of Iraq and of the world.

What they really wanted to say!

Can't wait for the next Dem debate. The collective stink on stage when the moderator brings it up will be noticable through the TV screen.

Since Hussein was obviously a street person due to Republican policies

Geez, man, are you sure you're not one of them? :-]

LOL- I came pretty close to shooting coffee out my nose reading your post. I hadn't even thought about Al's once again impeccable timing. At some point you almost have to feel sorry for him.

"I hope this will see a diminishing in the violence against American soldiers in Iraq," Clark said as he arrived in the Netherlands. Clark was on his way to The Hague (news - web sites), to testify in the war crimes trial of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic (news - web sites).

Think about Clark being cross-examined by Milosevic, who is conducting his own defense.
;O)

Are those your ideas ...

They are mine. Watching the breaking news from 7 AM this morning, these thoughts kept popping into my head, so I wrote them down. Feel Free to add your own.

BTW, a few more

Tom Daschle: "I'm deeply relieved for the people of Iraq. OF COURSE we want them to be free, but I'm truly saddened that it was a partisan operation. Surely the President could have included some centrist 4th Infantry members in the rescue team. I'm afraid President Bush has poisoned the well for a non-partisan army. Obviously we were right to try to disallow the votes of our radical right wing Armed Forces in Florida in 2000."

Edward Kennedy: "I'm outraged that President Bush has refused to give Saddam Hussein adequate health care coverage!"

Democratic Underground: "HALLIBURTON-NO BLOOD FOR OIL-CHIMPY-NADER DID THIS TO US-THE U.N. MADE THIS HAPPEN-IT'S PATRIOTIC TO BE PRO-SADDAM..."

Yes, and it makes me pound the computer with glee. Gore's endorsement was all the talk, and now, swept away - like so much dust. LOL

Democrats react to Saddam's Capture

Meet "The Axis of Domestic Evil".

let's play a game like the old "Karnak" routine from the Johnny Carson Show:

A: Hillary! Rodham Clinton, Bill Clinton, The ACLU, The UN, The EU; The legal societies
of Vichy France, Germany, Belgium, and Canada.

Q: What is Saddam's legal "Dream Team"?

Dems: "so where is Sadamm?" "So, where is Bin Laden?"
Dems: "so where is Bin Laden"
(Later, when Bin Laden is captured)
Dems: "so where is Elvis"
(then when we find Elvis living on a farm in Missouri)
Dems: "so, where is Carmen San Diego?"

John F. Kerry: “F…’in A, That F’er has been yanking our chain, and F’in President Bush should be F’in ashamed of himself for not getting the F’er right away. If it was me there, I would have put two in the F'er's head, like I did in F'in 'Nam." LOL - very good!

Now the Democrats and the French and Germans will desperately try to get ol' Saddam tried in the Hague - instead of by the Iraqis- so they can royally foxtrot the trial up...

I can hear the lamentations now. He can't get a fair trial in Iraq. He needs a change of venue to the Haig.

Not one Democrat has the class to praise President Bush on his resolve to get the job done. This says it all.

You mean Alexander Haig's house is where they are going to hold the trial? I guess he really IS in charge now. Anyway, word is that since Saddam is a first-time offender, they might let him off with community service and anger management counseling.
