well, Saddams gov't is gone. The Coalition is the ruling authority right now, until it is handed over.
>>And now I suppose we'll be taking all kinds of crap for showing footage of Saddam captured. "Humiliating" for him, exploitative, against Geneva convention, against international law, etc. etc.

What an idiot. Should have been in paris or somewhere. I am surprised. I thought he was living the life of Riley in Syria.

If it's the equivalent of beating the TV screen with shoes, or something. or something. LOL!

I think the morning talking head shows are cancelled.
To: hellinahandcart
Gosh, I wish I knew what the Iraqis in the room were shouting. If it's the equivalent of beating the TV screen with shoes, or something. On CNN they said the Iraqis were yelling "Death to Saddam".
To: BurbankKarl
If they said that, I missed it.

Iraqi journalist: I'm so sorry for my surprise..and thank you to my brother Americans for helping to put Iraq on track and we want to congratulate the martyrs... we want to ask the council to please bring trial... so the Iraqi people can judge...we want the people to be the judge in this trial.
Council: As i Said before, this will be a special trial, as did all people against all humans...this will be an iraqi courthouse.
Iraqi news reporter: After the capture, do you think the anti-American activities over?
Sanchez: We've repeatedly stated that this is a critical moment in the history, but we do not expect complete elimination of attacks...but with the cooperation of the Iraqi people and the coalition, we are closer to security for this nation.
CBS: Can you tell us what he said at the time of capture
Sanchez; No not at this time.

Any word on issuing the reward? How long he was on the run, and how long he was there at that location.

I would like to know what the Iraqi reporters are asking
there should be a translation caption under the picture.
Brit Hume says they are cries of joy, but are they really??

The trial for him will be amazing show of Iraqi justice.Iraq has a long way to go before it will be possible to have a trial.
It may be unfortunate that he did not resist arrest.

Let's hope thisSOB really gets the death penalty. I don't want to see his parole hearings on TV every five years like Manson's.
