I'm pretty sure that the known Atta chronology allows us to factor out 3 days in the summer of 2001 where he could have gone into Iraq. Al-Qaeda involvement in any shipment Niger is otherwise well within their grasp, that's right near the Algerian border where Abderrazak al-Para (the guy who kidnapped all of those European tourists a while back) is based and Mokhtar Belmokhtar runs the GSPC government-in-exile out of Niger.
They need to verify this, though, and soon.

Here's an interesting thought that nobody's brought up so far:
What if Atta's trip to Iraq was unrelated to the hijacking and instead referred to him being trained how to handle weaponized anthrax?
That certainly puts a different outlook on things, doesn't it?

Atta was in Spain in the summer of 2001, was he not? What do we know about when he left for Spain, how long he was in that country, when he left it, and when he returned to the U.S.?

I'm just bummed that this critical info hit the news the same day Hussein was captured. After watching numerous news channels and broadcasts throughout the day yesterday, the only mention of this was around 9:30 last night on Scarborough Country.
