Amen, brother!
Oh, by-the-way, the supremes that voted to keep this law:
John Paul Stevens (ultra-liberal)
Sandra Day O'Connor (left-leaning / usually the swing vote)
David Souter (left-leaning "centrist")
Ruth Bader Ginsburg (ultra-liberal)
Stephen Breyer (liberal)
The ones who agreed with me that this is another attack on my 1st Amendment rights:
Rehnquist, Kennedy, Thomas, Scalia - all strict Consitutionalists.

The ones who were in the minority, by the way, are the ones Bush would appoint.
I'd also like to see Fox put on a broadcast nightly news opposite Rather, Jennings, and Brokaw. We saw that they could kick butt in cable news, let's see what happens to the playing field when a "Fair and Balanced" nightly news on a BROADCAST network happens.

Yep. That is why I will vote for Republican constitutionalists, not mere Republicans.

But Bush signed the Godd*ammed bill. It wouldn't matter a whit what Sandy Day opined if GW didn't vote for it.

Ah, a guide to the USSC. Good post ... let me fix the labels for ya:
the bad guys:
John Paul Stevens (ultra-liberal)
Sandra Day O'Connor (left-leaning centrist/RINO/ usually the swing vote)
David Souter (left-leaning liberal)
Ruth Bader Ginsburg (ultra-liberal, Socialist)
Stephen Breyer (liberal/Socialist)
The good guys:
Kennedy - mostly strict but sometimes libertarian/anti-morality (viz. Lawrence v Texas)
Rehnquist, Thomas, Scalia - all strict Consitutionalists.
