A tribe of white, mostly blonde haired, blue-eyed "Indians" has been found in a remote region of the Amazon jungle
Aw, that's a red herring. They've been talking about blond blue eyed Injuns in the US too, but they were always just beyond the boundaries of where the explorer had gone to. Furthermore, why would Romans in 19 B.C. be blonde and blue-eyed????

Furthermore, why would Romans in 19 B.C. be blonde and blue-eyed???? Many a Roman family had a Celt in the woodpile. ;-)

Present-day Romans are not the same as ancient Romans, just as present-day Greeks are really just Hellenized Slavs, no longer the same as their ancient ancestors. Romans were taken over, dominated, and interbred with by Vandals and Visigoths and others from the East. Are modern Turks the same as Byzantines? The present Turks in Anatolia are from the area of Turkmenistan.
Anyway, here's a list of the pigmentation of the early Roman emporers. Augustus, Nero, Domition, and Commodus among others were all grey/blue-eyed and blond.

Furthermore, why would Romans in 19 B.C. be blonde and blue-eyed???? Lots of Germanic tribes had come into the Empire by then
