IF a network talking head wanted to give hillary a clout alongside the head, which is a big IF, then the obvious technique would be to turn her ridicule back against her.

For instance, why not the simple question, "Hillary, why are you laughing?"

Get under that woman's skin and she will start hurling ashtrays and furniture around the room. That's why she will never allow herself to appear on any TV show where there's the slightest possibilility she might be treated that way. But we can always hope. . . .

I lost all respect for George Will when he began panting over the new Governor of Michigan......Granholm, and saying we ought to change the constitution so she could run for President.

Speaking of Al Sharpton. Can you imagine the uproar if the republicans accorded that amount of respect to David Duke.

Consider the hysteria surrounding Trent Lott's unfortunate statement at the 100th. birthday party and then consider the a$$ ki$$ing of Al Sharpton.

the world has not seen anything like the counter-attack which will be launched by the repubs against Hillary....

Yeah right, it's never the clintons fault for just being the slimebag criminals they are. It's always the Republicans fault for their failings.

The whole world needs to be rid of them and their ilk. The future of the world may depend on it.

She said it on Tony Snow's weekend show, I think it was a few months ago. It was around the same time that she wrote that article about the Clintons "sucking all the oxygen" from the other democrats. The media was so mad they spiked the story .. and of course Rush ran the story all over the place. But .. I've heard her say it a few more times since then.

Thanks for linking to the Downside Legacy! It would indeed be helpful to have a similar collection for just Hillary.

Thanks for letting me know where Estrich said that!

I'm counting on her view being a correct read of this situation.

Salvation, check out post 746.

"changing or influencing the mainstream media"

I'm not so intent on influencing or changing the media as I am in INFORMING THEM THAT WE EXIST. And .. by "we" I mean the public in general. The media are always saying "the American people" with the words "want", "like", etc. The media needs to realize they DON'T HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA WHAT WE WANT .. BUT WE CAN TELL THEM what we really want and perhaps effect or counter what they say .. forcing them to reassess their view of what the American people want.

But .. I don't intend to hold my breath until there is a suitable outcome.

Regarding Hillary's claim to be answering questions, or getting comments from servicemen....
Most I've heard of refused to be interviewed.
Also, the comment about "welcome to the war on terror" could be interpreted as saying "I've been here in the war on terror for the past two years. Where have you been?"

I can't envision any of the servicemen talking to her unless they were ordered to do so.

Remember Pearl Harbor!!!!!!

missus clinton's Sunday-Circuit, pink-suited panic

 by Mia T, December 7,2003

Cissus clinton failed to notice: 'living history' begets a certain symmetry. How fitting it is that the clintons were forced to reveal their inept and treasonous hand on this day, exactly 62 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

One has to surmise from hillary clinton's Sunday-Circuit, pink-suited panic that clinton in-house polling has the missus out-polling Jane Fonda for the Tokyo-Rose prize. (Incidentally, someone ought to clue in her dresser: exculpation-by-pink-suit can work only once; notwithstanding, a treasonous middle-aged matron in a pink suit reads: "dowdy treasonous middle-aged matron in pink suit." Nothing more... nothing less....)

It is common knowledge that missus clinton limits the frequency, intensity and content of her cozy clintonoid interviews of the Colmes kind. Tim Russert's (Meet the Press, NBC) stomach-turning HILLARY 2004! boosterism and nonexistent follow-ups ("And why do you suppose there aren't enough troops to fight a war, missus CLINTON?") made it clear that she had the latter two -- intensity and content -- covered today. It was frequency that did her in.

Tokyo Rose also aided and abetted our enemies by using psychological warfare designed to lower the morale of our troops; and she was convicted of treason. One could easily argue that clinton's betrayal, because it is ultimately self-serving, is an even greater iniquity. And then, of course, there are the clintons' other treasonous acts....

Russert, therefore, was not only on the wrong page. He was in the wrong book.
The questions isn't,
"Who in his right mind would ever want the clintons back in the Oval Office?"
The question is,--
"Who in his right mind would want the seditious
, America-undermining clintons unconfined?"

Sorry, I did hear that remark, but after undergoing more contact with her voice today than I have ever subjected myself to before, I can not even tell you on which show she said it.

She is a master of saying something quotable on every side of an issue! She is slick, and she has been having voice training - It was low and modulated except for the 'president' question which brought forth the 'chuckle', and not one "ya know' that I heard.

The most disgusting interviewer by far was Russert, practically begging her to run.
Q: "If you were president, Senator Clinton, what would you do about..."

A: "Oh Tim, I just want to do the best job I can for my constituents blah, blah, blah..."

Media polls tell us Dean will win the nomination. But the same polls tell us Hillary would win if she ran. In The NYTimes, Safire wrote the following on Hillary:

"Consider the political meaning of all this. Here is a Democrat who has no regrets for voting for the resolution empowering the president to invade Iraq; who insists repeatedly and resolutely that "failure is not an option"; who is ready to send in a substantially greater U.S. force to avert any such policy failure — and yet whose latest poll ratings show her to be the favorite of 43 percent of Democrats, three times the nomination support given front-runner Howard Dean."

I suffered through eight years of the clintoons, and doubt I could do it again. I will leave the Country if this trash moves into my White House.

Don't forget the dog. I'm leaving too, with my cats and wife. The kids can deal with Hillary on their own.

The most disgusting interviewer by far was Russert, practically begging her to run.

Russert practically asked 'Her Lowness' if he could be her VP running mate! Maybe Timmy could at least be her Ari Fleischer (who I personally miss very much!)

Bush needs him back. He was so much smoother, funnier, and prepared than the new guy.

You know, we do have a few you knows, you know
MR. RUSSERT: If one of the leading candidates falters or the convention becomes deadlocked, would you, under any circumstances, accept the Democratic nomination in 2004?
SEN. CLINTON: You know, Tim, I’ve ruled it out. I’m going to continue to rule it out. You know, my view is that we’ve got people who have been competing, they have put their ideas out in front of the American people, the process will finally, finally start next month in the primaries and the caucuses, and someone’s going to emerge from that and I’m going to work for whoever that nominee is.
MR. RUSSERT: So no matter what happens, absolutely, categorically, no?
SEN. CLINTON: You know, I am going to do everything I can to support this nominee, whoever that person might be.
MR. RUSSERT: But just say no. You would...

Thanks for the correction. I am glad to know she is not totally polished and improved. Her cackle distracted me during that "Please be our president" begging scene by Russert. YUK! Last Sunday was more Hillary exposure than I ever expected I could stand!
