"What was his crime? That he fought against the Christians," the speaker says. VERY interesting.

I notice one of the online korans has replaced "jidad" with "battle" in 47:4 ... here's another little "gem" from it ... but it's a "religion of peace" ...
[61.4] Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way in ranks as if they were a firm and compact wall.

Killing Christians - the Islamist's peaceful pastime.

I found that interesting, too.
In August 2001 I attended an orientation at my church, as I was going to be teaching catechism that school year. At the Mass that started off our day, our pastor gave a startling homily.
He spoke of the important role catechists have always played since the very beginning of the Church. He reminded us that many many martyrs of the early Church were catechists. He then said (paraphrase) "And that time will come again. As sure as I'm standing here, catechists will be again be punished for spreading the Word of the Lord."
I thought of his words a few weeks later, and have often pondered them since.
