LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Bitterness over the 2000 election that put George W. Bush into the White House by 537 votes in Florida is certain to surface this weekend when delegates to the state Democratic Party convention are courted by candidates hoping to challenge the president next year.

I flipped by the coverage on C-SPAN. Anyone wondering if they have "moved on" need not worry - they are still firmly planted in November 2000. Their first speaker said the motivation for the 2004 election must be "revenge". It's not a subtext or implied - it's their primary concern now. Revenge.

What a great platform, huh?

All the Democrats can do is

#1 Get more felons, illegal aliens and fictional voters

#2 Hope 1000's of US troops die in order for them to "get anti-war votes"

#3 Hope the banking industry and American business in general go bankrupt in order for them to get government into "growing" more jobs.... like we need more regulators, lawyers, and bureaucrats (they are the real producers according to Dems).

#4 Help any terrorist group by encouraging them through the media, that if we got rid of Bush we'll back off of our search and destruction of their operatives and sources of income.

#5 Pray that there is a viral pandemic with hundreds of thousands of deaths, in order for the Democrats to get governmental control of medicine (since the VA and Indian Public Health Dept. are run so well) and run our medical services like the Cubans and French do... who they admire so much and are so much smarter than stupid old American doctors.

In other words... the Democrats can only hope to offer destruction insurance and haven't a clue how to build anything of beauty or significance.
They deal in twisting logic and half truths in order for them to get paid as parasites off the work of others......

in other words to be a Democrat is to be a tapeworm in the colon of the American dream.... (god I love it when I come up with stuff like this..hahahaha)

LOL! The Dems. really do not seem to know what rationality, logic, and thinking mean. They suck. I'm tired from shoveling snow all over my neighborhood, so I'll just say, "they suck".

Perhaps a lot of ideologically-oriented people, whose religion and the highest arbiter of right and wrong is the Democratic Party.

I find it odd, that a AZ paper did the story, not a FL one. Shrillary trying to whip-up the hornets' nest.

They feel the (2000) election was taken from them. Political activists see it as political grand theft."

* Targeting systems activated

* Phaser Lock Initiated

* Target: FL Socialist Mitch Caesar

* Flame Setting: Medium Well

WRONG ANSWER, you stinking seditious encephalatic rectal parasite!

The votes of the very same American citizens you and your fellow-travelling morally-dessicated useful idiots, were hellbent to destroy, discard and deface, the votes of my brethren under arms, were the ones who were taken from them! Not the blacks, nor the old, nor the stupid! The folks in green, white, and blue!

And that includes ME, and now you dare to try your progressive Clintonista mindscrews again, against me and all others who are keeping this nation a safe place for intestinal maggots like you, whose sanctimonious elitist Marxist verbal stool continuously pollutes and insults each and every one of us!

I don't wish you, and people like you, dead - not at all, because there's something worse for you: I wish you all life. I wish you a life long enough to see George W. Bush inaugurated in 2005.

I wish you life enough to see your Marxist Messiah, She Who Must Not Be Named, defeated in every vote from now until She holds her "coming-out" party!

I wish you life enough to see your pestilential grip on the US Senate and the Judiciary broken for generations to come!

I wish you life enough to see that despicable bench-law, Roe v. Wade, assigned to the ash heap of history.

And I wish you life long enough to wail in despair as Socialism is cast into its rightful place in the "unmarked graveyard of forgotten lies"!

Forgive me the rant, fellow FReepers, but it needed doing...

Bush will carry Florida by +10 points I think he will too and further I read a lot of columnists and editorial opinions and it seems that many of them think this election will be close.

I see a 49 state electoral victory coming, with the sole holdout being drunk fat ted's state

The economy is improving, employment is rising, the war is turning more every day in our favor. the only campaign point the dims try to make is "hate GWB" and I think even many dim voters are going to get tired of hearing that garbage all the time.

Florida is over populated with spoiled brat, selfish, bratty folks, who can only see things in a way that brings self gratification or comfort to themselves. Although this sounds like the typical democrat, it prevails in more than politics. If you have ever watched one of those cross state football games you would hear their childish whimpering in full bloom. Each year, they have three awesomely good football teams. Only one of them regularly plays the other two. Those two games are gargantuan struggles televised around the football world. The games are usually something to remember. Unfortunately, so are the bratish tantrum ways of their fans, some players and one former coach. Not all Florida folks are brats, but there are enough of them to tarnish the paradise for the others.

I see Massachusetts going into the W column. Many people here gotten a pail of cold water dumped on them with the SJC's gay ruling. And Governor Romney's approval rating is good.

....."It's pretty clear that they can't seem to get over.....

They did it by the book. They thought they stole a close election.

They tasted an illegal victory, only to have it snatched away by the power of the law.

American scum.

They tasted an illegal victory

To me the sweetest part of the victory was when the Florida Supreme court tried to illegally give the election to Gore and then was slapped down by the U.S. Supremes not once but twice.

And don't ever forget the demoRAT official that had the votomatic machine and the stack of ballots in his trunk. I still have never heard if any charges arose from that.

Please accept a proud "AMEN" to your post, as well as my sincerest thanks for your service to America, for you and ALL your brothers in arms!

BTW, NEVER take the targeting scanners offline...we all must know just where the enemy is, and what they are up to!

Besides, it makes it easier to call in suppressing fire from support units while you power up!

Sorry...as a refugee from Taxachusetts (10 years FREE!), I can GUARAN-DAMN-TEE that the Massholes will swallow the kool-aide and vote for whatever RAT is on the ballot! They are the waste-product of the alimentary system of America, and would vote in Pol Pot or Fidel Castro before they voted for GW.

I guess they would have felt better if FL hadn't met the "safe harbor" deadline and had their E.V.s not counted at all, which was Gore's plan all along.
