ANOTHER REPORT FROM THE 49TH ST. COURTHOUSE DEMONSTRATION TODAY...January 7, 2004

Good news! I got a phone call from xxxx to say that ABC Action News picked up the story for the number 3 slot on the 6.00 pm report. xxxxx said the report was nice and lengthy, the presenter was very clear about what was being asked of McCabe and lots of good pictures of our signs were shown. That's really encouraging to hear. They may repeat at 11.00.

Perhaps tomorrow, a few more from media will pick this up. They probably ought to.

Thank you to everyone for being there - especially in the nippy wind!! If you can do it again tomorrow, it would be greatly appreciated. Those of you who couldn't make it today, no worries. If you can squeeze some time in tomorrow, we certainly would love to see you. Understood that people have to work, you're still very wanted and very appreciated!

Although I am relaying the story second hand, apparently a Sheriff leaving the building came up to the Schindlers to let them know that he was behind them. That really set a nice tone for things. I'm so delighted when strangers can understand the plight of this family and be big enough to share just a moment of kindness with them.

If you attend tomorrow, bundle up, kittens. It's going to be another chilly one.

Thanks for the update FV. Glad to know it went well. Looking forward to the pictures!

Ahem... I'm TRYING to feel sympathetic for your nippy weather, but we've got 8 inches of snow on the ground, and a "balmy" 17 degrees right now, soooo...

(I know, I know, that's what I get for living in the midwest LOL).

The kindness of the sheriff must have made the Schindler's feel so good! Glad that brave person took the time to tell them he or she supports them.

Waiting to see news of the Rally in print...and pictures!
