The rumor that Judge Baird has been replaced is confirmed - Judge Nellie Khouzam is now handgling ALL Baird's cases! Baird is now hearing cases in criminal court.

This is from an email I received today:
ALL of Judge Baird's cases, INCLUDING the suit by Michael Schiavo v Gov Bush related to the Terri's Law, challenging its constitutionality, HAVE been transferred to Judge Nelly Khouzam. This information came directly from Judge Khouzam's assistant. Judge Khouzam is known to be a "by the book" tough, but fair judge.

The court is NOT explaining why the judges were suddenly switched, except to say that "judges rotate from time to time." We believe it might have something to do with:

Local PINELLAS COUNTY COURT BAILIFFS AND COURT EMPLOYEES WERE TAKING BETS ON WHETHER TERRI WOULD DIE OR NOT!!!

It was widely reported that Judge Baird made reckless and prejudicial comments in support of Greer and Felos and against Jeb's lawyers way before he had heard the evidence from the Governor's attorneys.

In other words, Judge Baird's comments are the likely reason local Pinellas County employees were doing "inside betting" that the local Pinellas County Judges would back each other's poor and constitutionally illegal decisions against Terri's constitutional rights and thus overrule Jeb Bush and Terri's Law.

The 6th Circuit Judges are upset to have anyone tell them they are morally and legally wrong...... whether it's constitutionally illegal or not to murder Terri.

Conducting inside betting on the case is a severe violation of the code of conduct for court employees! Whether that is, or is not, the reason the judges have been switched, the very important change in judge can be extremely significant to what happens to Terri. We are hoping that Judge Khouzam will give the Gov a fair hearing in the case and allow the discovery he sought (which was denied by Baird). If Judge Khouzam allows some discovery as requested by Gov Bush, it could make all the difference!

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You have intervened within the courts on behalf of this mother's child. Thank You, Gracious God, that You have set aside one judge who publicly ruled in a case not yet heard. We praise You that You have intervened within the inner workings of the courts, whether rumor is true or not. O God, we are in tears at the thought of anyone gambling on the life of one so innocent, but we are reminded that there were those who gambled for your robe. The depths of the depravity of man knowns no bounds ... may the light of Your truth shine into the pit of this darkness, that this horrendous injustice be swept away.

Father God, we continue to seek that one judge who will rule righteously and well ... someone who is like minded that all people have equal protection under the law. May there be nothing but the beauty of the law that is upheld ... not personal opinion or political agenda or favored positions. Grace Terri's legal team with nothing but the beauty of the law, and may they be eloquent and fierce and impassioned on behalf of this wounded child. Quickly rescue her from her prison ... renew her family with zeal and fervor, lest they tire from the weight of years of denial.

Thank You, Merciful Father, that the affairs of men are before You as an open book, whether for ill or good. May the Spirit of God work in our hearts that we continue to speak Terri's sweet name before the Throne of Grace ... and may Your sweet Spirit work in the hearts of those who seek Terri's death, that they repent before it is too late. Hi, msmagoo -- thanks for posting that info. I am hoping with everyone else that this may set the stage for all facts to be brought out in court at long last, and all questions answered.

Thanks for the ping. This sounds real good. I read the bio you provided. She sounds like a no nonsense type of person.

Let's just hope she's not part of the good old boy network trying to kill this poor woman by starvation and dehydration.

It does look like we are having some effect on Terri's case at least by keeping this story alive.

I wrote to Alan Keyes and never received a reply. He has been asking for donations because of his help with this case. Yet he doesn't seem interested in answering email on Terri.

This is a normal rotation of judges.

Every Circuit Court in Florida rotates judges between divisions periodically. This is done by an Administrative Order by the Chief Judge, in this case The Honorable David A. Deemers, Chief Judge of The Sixth Judicial Circuit.

This change of judges has nothing to do with any misconduct, suspicion of predjudice or anything else out of the ordinary, rather it is the result of Administrative Order No. 2003-056 PI-CIR, which was signed and ordered on the 29th day of August, 2003.
