PRAYER WARRIOR FIELD TRIP!!

For another inspiring look at the President's visit to the troops, go to the following link! It is written from the perspective of a female soldier and includes the transcript of the President's speech. Be sure to look at the discussion and commentary if you are not familiar with the coins referred to in the letter!

Remember our special Call to Arms month concludes on December 10! We have the opportunity to sing a few more extra hymns, light a few extra candles (safety first!), and participate in a little bit of extra devotion time as the Lord leads.

I think there have been some wonderful developments during this month. It is my opinion that prayer supported the ability for the President's staff to maintain that necessary secrecy and security in order for this much needed visit to the troops to take place. Our troops had that recent victory over the insurgents, killing, wounding and capturing the enemy with few US wounded and to my knowledge, no deaths. Our interrupted mail service to the troops was quickly restored. Perhaps the most obvious, is that threats of major attacks on US soil and interests elsewhere did not materialize.

Please be thinking about other positive events or situations, both great and small which have come to pass during this past month. Perhaps something has happened in your own life which shows the efficacy of prayer and extra devotion. Our God is good, and it just seems like He would have taken our extra efforts this month and used them for great things. Beginning the 11th (or sooner, if you cant wait!) I would be most interested to learn what the Prayer Warriors have noticed from our special Call to Arms experiment.

Beloved Father,

In these remaining days of our special Call to Arms vigil, we give thanks for your mighty hand. We thank you for working things out so that the President could visit our troops in Iraq. We thank you for victory in battle. Thank you for overshadowing the mail services and answering those prayers. Thank you for continuing to protect our Homeland. We thank you for these miracles which played out on the world stage, and we thank you for the small miracles which you graciously extended to your servants who made the decision to unite in a special vigil.

Father, in these remaining hours of our vigil, help us in making that final push so that we may have a worthy offering to place on your altar which you can use in behalf of our troops and your divine Plan. Use those devotions for the unfoldment of events in the Middle East and in other situations which affect the military and our nation's peace and security according to your Will and Plan.

We continue to call forth angels of protection for each and every young person who wears the uniform of our nation or our allies. We call forth those angels for those who serve in our intelligence and undercover services. We call forth those angels for our very special friends in the support/contract labor services who are also in danger and have been taking casualties. Father, we call forth angels of wisdom to guide our leaders and the chain of command as to your Will and Plan for the prosecution of this War on Terror.

We still are in the afterglow of Thanksgiving and are looking forward to the festivities of the Holy season of Christmas and Hannukah. While we busy ourselves with shopping, working, parties, and all the hustle and bustle of the season, we pause to call forth your blessing on those families who have a loved one serving away from home. We particularly call forth your blessing and comfort for those whose loved ones shall not ever come home. We are grateful, so grateful for these. Father, we remember them in the deepest part of our hearts, for they have given us the opportunity to experience the joy and peace afforded by Freedom.

Bless all who love Freedom, our Father, for those who genuinely love Freedom are surely our brothers and sisters in your Heart. May those who yearn for Freedom but who are yet in shackles one day be free.

Amen

ERRATA!!

In my previous Prayer Warrior Field Trip post, I erroneously stated that the author is a female soldier. This is not the case. I misread her letter. She was there in the capacity as some kind of governmental official or employee.

My apologies.
