To ALL:

I just got a call from our Family Support contact that the 79th QM was not involved in the mortar fire, though they were very close, and had to take cover in foxholes.

The phone lines were just restored, and some have called home, but I'm guessing that Eric will wait so he can talk to his Dad too. :o)

Thanks for ALL the prayer support last night! What a FAMILY FR has become to me! (even though I've already got a good one!)

Prayer Warrior Incident Alert!

Yesterday in post 540 Ragtime Cowgirl alerted us that ohioWfan needed some for prayers for Eric. Many here responded, and for that we are all grateful. In 549 ohioWfan updated us to let us know that Eric was safe.

Praise God that Eric is safe. I am so grateful for all the prayer warriors here who are so responsive to needs for prayer. Please continue to keep us informed, ohioWfan, and all who have loved ones on our list!

BELOVED HEAVENLY FATHER,

We fall down on our knees before you and worship you unreservedly. Please accept our gratitude for keeping Eric safe during this recent attack upon his position. We ask that you will continue to keep him in your arms. We ask that you will keep all of our young men and women who are serving in uniform safe as they discharge their duties.

Father, we ask that you will place your all seeing eye upon all weapons caches, all who are plotting and planning strikes against our troops, all who are engaged in nefarious activities of all kinds which are against our troops or innocent noncombatants in this war on terror on all its fronts, even here domestically. Father, with that all seeing eye, reveal to those in authority all of these things, and let them take action for the preservation of life, liberty, and property. We ask, Father, that the ones who plotted the downing of that aircraft, and the means to do so shall be revealed to our troops, and that they shall no longer be able to do this again. Let this be done only according to thy own Will and timing.

As you read our hearts, Father, you know of our sorrow at the loss of our troops on that downed helicopter. Please enfold those who lost their lives. Help them on their journey Home. Enfold their loved ones. Help us to renew our own vow to live our lives in such a way that their loss is not in vain.

Father, we call forth a strengthening of our prayer blankets into a kind of spiritual chain mail. Let this armor be placed over each and every person who is in uniform on the side of freedom. Let a swaddling garment of comfort and faith be placed over all who are at home waiting for their heroes to come home.

We are your children and we have every reason to know and trust that you are indeed our FAther and have a better plan than we can imagine which you are wanting to have unfold. We demand that all which opposes your divine plan and Will be bound and rendered ineffective! Let only your Will be done in the Middle East, in our nation and the nations of our allies, and throughout the earth.

I didn't figure you would but it's nice to know, lol. Continued prayers for Eric and all our troops wherever they are. Turning the tide isn't easy, isn't fast, and isn't a walk in the park. I am so proud of all those who serve so others can taste the freedom they could only imagine in their dreams before.
