Please add TXnMA's #2 "Son" (beloved family friend 'adopted' into the family), Sergeant Christopher ~ an 82nd Airborne NCO currently serving in Iraq ~
"in harm's way (for the third time) and really can use all the prayers we can muster up -- as can his wife...and his son" to the Troop Prayer List.
I'd like to add Sgt. Christopher's "adopted" brother (101st Airborne ~ retired after 20 years service) and sister (Captain in the Army Medical Service Corps), and parents (father AF Veteran)...still serving.
Extra prayers for the 82nd Airborne now in Iraq providing security for the troop rotation...chosen, again, because they are champions.

Thank you, RG!
I suppose folks here deserve a little explanation for '#2 Son's' "in harm's way (for the third time)".
In Desert Storm, Sgt Chris met the Republican Guard (a Land Rover full of officers who decided not to surender) "up close and personal". He and his 82nd ABN unit pushed into Iraq nearly to An Nasiriyah.
After 9-11, he and "his" 82nd ABN "boys" spent a year "chasing the Tali & Al Q" around Afghanistan.
Now (after only four months back home with his family) he's in combat again -- in Iraq.
All of us appreciate all of your prayers!!!

Thanks for pinging me, Rags and Ms Feather! Rags, thanks for pinging your list.
Welcome, TXnMA to this prayer circle! We are so very grateful for Sgt. Chris's service.
Beloved Heavenly Father,
We are so grateful for Sgt. Chris and the work he has done in harm's way for this nation. We humbly beseech you to assign a team of angels to guide, guard, direct, and protect him and his buddies in the 82nd Airborne during his deployment to Iraq.
Father, we ask that you will take our prayers and weave of them garments containing all the qualities of virtue which can swaddle him and his buddies at all times. Let these prayer blankets be woven with strands of protection, love, wisdom, discipline, healing, service, and mercy, in varying amounts according to the need of the hour. Let these blankets woven from our prayers and your love be placed over him and his buddies as a spiritual armor of light.
We ask, dear Father, that you will surround TXnMA and all of Sgt. Chris's family while they are awaiting the return of this fine young warrior. Grant them peace, joy, and above all abundant faith that all is and shall be well with him and them. We ask that all opposition to him and this family be shattered, and that only your own divine Will shall be done in their lives.
Thank you for hearing our prayers, Beloved Father. Thank you for placing your loving attention on Sgt Chris and his family this day. Amplify and multiply our prayers. Let our prayers be adjusted and made perfect and whole according to your will and the need of the hour. Let this which we have called forth for Sgt. Chris and the 82nd Airborne, be also called forth for all who are wearing the uniform of our country and our allies who are fighting for the holy cause of Freedom.
Amen
