President Bush secretly landed an hour ago and is currently eating Thanksgiving dinner at my undisclosed location. Anticipate a press release after he takes off.

The rain didnt matter anymore after seeing the smiles of those soldiers with GWB. I only wish he could of made it to a few other cities in Iraq to see more of the troops, word speads quick so at least they will hear that he came to visit. It really did cheer me up as I have been a little down with both boys gone this year.

It was nice to meet you again at the hospital today. I'm very glad you were able to spend more time there talking to Joe Santos and his wife and all the others as well.
The nursing staff, especially our guide through Ward 58, was very kind and courteous. It was an honor to be able to meet and thank some of the soldiers who have fought overseas and see that they are recuperating in such a caring atmosphere. Their individual stories are truly touching and also awe inspiring. May God bless them all and give them strength on their road to recovery.
I hope that we will be able to make regular visits to recuperating soldiers in the coming weeks and months. We will stay in contact with officials at the hospital to see what can be arranged.

Its not so bad (yea right) sitting by the TV all day switching channels hoping that some news crew captured my camera shy son wishing us a Happy Thankgiving. We did hear from our youngest in Korea, he told us the Turkey dinner with all the trimming was better than he expected with lobster & shrimp on the menu as well.
