The two highest achievements of the human mind are the twin concepts of "loyalty" and "duty." Whenever these twin concepts fall into disrepute -- get out of there fast! You may possibly save yourself, but it is too late to save that society. It is doomed.

Political correctness has used sneering contempt to attack 'simple-minded patriotism' in order to mute a general appreciation of this nation and its opportunities. September 11 broke a lot of us out of this intimidation, but the liberals never relented.
I think there's only one way to counter this, and that is by talking openly, firmly, at every opportunity, about our strengths, and never accede to any of the liberals' irrationality.
Thanks for the ping.

You may possibly save yourself, but it is too late to save that society. It is doomed. And therein lies the weakness of a libertarianism that focuses on individual rights while at the same time rejecting the existence of community interests.

Just got done reading the hard copy version in the local watering hole. Good Article. I like the AS in general...but sometimes think their ideological fervor gets the best of them.

A Victor Davis Hanson ping for you. Great stuff by Hanson.

Tolik
I'm assuming you put me on your Victor Hanson ping list. Appreciate it. lainde would like to be added as well.
When I read a good article (Hanson never fails) in National Review I cross my fingers and do an internet search in hopes of finding an online copy. That's how I found Benador Associates. Be sure to check their website every now and then. I'll do the same.
Thanks!
