What does DH stand for? Is the stoma site infected? Do the parents have any control over care?
This is how I keep Kings Stoma site in good shape every four hours I Pat the site clean with a 50/50 solution of Hydrogenperoxide and saline water
If the site gets any raw areas I swab it with Saf-Gel which is a algean ky solution works miracles in keeping the area from breaking down. Hope that helps. Some facilities use and leave on way to long 4x4 gauze pads. I have found sometimes that just breeds nasty stuff esp. it the pad is left without being changed for long periods of time.
