Well, CASE CLOSED went a long way toward changing my mind. It also has it's detractors but again, ANY theory put forward will be attacked and will not be a "perfect" scenario.

I wouldn't have too much trouble with a very small, local conspiracy of two or three people, although I have seen no evidence of it. Ruby was a complete and utter nut case who would be the last person you would invite into your secret cause. When it grows into this monster conspiracy of government agencies and mob and Cuban connections that's where I part company.

But the Oswald theory isn't mearly not perfect, thanks to the weapon put forth as THE weapon and the bullet put forth as THE bullet the Oswald alone theory is positively laughable.

Ruby's health (both mental and physical) makes him a great conspirator, especially if the others have marked him as the patsy. He wasn't long for this world and being whacked might not be believed. IMHO the simplest conspiracy had Ruby as the fall guy but he screwed up and didn't get caught, meanwhile Oswald screwed up and got spotted, the cop had to allow Oswald to be arrested, faced with somebody that might squeel they did the obvious thing: sent Ruby in to kill Oswald and still be the fall guy, at that point no one will believe Ruby was a shooter in the plaza so he's an even better fall guy than before. I'm not saying that's what happened but it's a plausible conspiracy that involves only 3 people and covers the majority of the significant events in the Plaza on that day.

Before the JFK assassination the CIA, exiled Cubans and supporters, FBI, joint chiefs of staff, Mafia and the US Government were involved in a conspiracy to assassinate Fidel Castro and you never knew a thing, are your parents never knew a thing about it! Had they not bungled it, you may have never known about it. The CIA concealed Mafia involvement from the Warren Commission. Had they succeeded, it would have been plausible denial and you wouldn't have believed it anyway! They do this stuff for a living and they do it all the time, assassination of JFK, a cake walk in comparision.
