We don't usually report what's in the National Enquirer, but we have to point out the hypocrisy of the left-wing media establishment, which gladly cited the tabloid's reports on Rush Limbaugh but has been silent on its drug allegations about NBC's Matt Lauer and now new revelations about Democrat diva Barbra Streisand. The Enquirer's Nov. 25 issue charges, "Barbra Streisand's fanatical support of the CBS movie smearing President Ronald Reagan wasn't just politics - it was personal!"
Babs' son, Jason Gould, who appeared in her movie "The Prince of Tides," is infected with AIDS, the tabloid says, and she has repeatedly cited the Democrat party line that Reagan should have done more to stop the disease.
She said as far back as 1992 that she would "never forgive" Reagan for his positions on AIDS education and research. "Streisand hates Reagan so much it clouds her judgment, insiders insist," the weekly reports.
The Enquirer notes that Malibu Barbi has worked on at least three projects with the producers of "The Reagans," Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, "who are known for their gay advocacy projects and remakes of musicals."
"There is absolutely no way Barbra didn't see the script before production started," the Enquirer quotes a source as saying.
Michael Paranzino, a former GOP congressional staffer who launched BoycottCBS.com, said, "And that is why CBS found themselves just three weeks out, realizing that they had a hatchet job on their hands."
So how come the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, CBS etc. cited the Enquirer's reports on Bill Clinton and O.J. Simpson but are giving Streisand a pass?

Reagan could've stopped her son from bending over or sticking a needle in his arm?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Actually, if true this would lessen my contempt for BS. Yes, she'd still be a brainless, elitist leftist, but her bitterness -- however misguided -- would flow at least in part from love for her son.

It was the Clinton administration - early on - that squashed important research done at Harvard Medical School and NIH about AIDs research. One physican/researcher at Harvard had his findings shut out of any debate.

So what could Reagan have done to prevent her son from having unprotected sex with another man???? Give me a frickin break. Reagan was the President during the 80s. Her son contracted AIDS during the 90s. Seems to me Babs is looking for someone else to blame for her sons' AIDS rather than to blame her son for reckless and irresponsible actions for which *HE* and he alone must accept responsibility. I'm sure her son doesn't blame Reagan.

Just because your son couldn't stand to touch a woman after being raised by you is no reason to blame Reagan, Ms. Streisand.Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark!

I didn't know Reagan swung that way. Maybe that will be in next year's Movie-of-the-Week.I can see James Brolin kicking back at the Ranch in a black T-shirt listening to Striesand records and show tunes.

Babs, You are pathetic. An atypical liberal that blames everyone else for their problems. I bet you've told your son it's not his fault too. Assuming it's not from a transfusion!

And if he had taken the dramatic and effective steps of shutting down the gay bath houses, what would Democrats have said about Reagan?
The truth about Reagan is probably that he had many friends and loved ones who were gay and was not at all a persecutor of gays.
But, of course, to not be considered a "homophobe," you must not merely tolerate the gay lifestyle with a "live and live" attitude, you must celebrate it. You must not take any steps to protect public health that might inconvenience any gay people or draw any adverse attention to them. You must not shut down gay bath houses or preach against promiscuity or unsafe sex practices (such as those that involve tearing rectal membranes while bathing those torn membranes with bodily fluids.)
And when the disease spreads, you must divert most of the national budget to finding cutting-edge cures for AIDS so that people can do exactly waht they feel like doing without having to suffer from the inherent risks of what they want to do. Otherwise you don't care, or are a homophobe.

Perhaps he is homosexual. If so, his behavior caused his aids.
If he got it from a transfusion or from some other vector outside his choice, then it makes it even more sad.
If from choices about his own behavior, then it is sad, but it is not someone else's fault. It is the fault of his own choices and the fault of those (the one) who infected him.

. . .incredible. . .and yet, the hypocrisy is sooooo predictable from these people! Who will challenge her; Larry, Katie. . .Tom, Dan?
Nope, her stupidity and dishonesty. . .and arogance oh well, what's the point; it will stand.
