GOODNESS!
I PREFER your position THOUGH, IN-SPITE of your extensive 'proofs' I still do not believe is the Biblical meaning or intent in terms of the root, foundational Scripture.
Certainly LIVING THE LIFE IS A WAY OF LIFE.
And, I think it's instructive that Rabbi's have their own jobs/incomes/work. And I like Paul's example. I've certainly lived that way, myself.
Paul's point was clearly about lay-about's not doing any productive work but expecting The Body to feed them, nevertheless.
I also think that in the closing days of history as we know it, Believers will HAVE to have their own productive work to survive at all--IF THEY ARE NOT ON THE RUN or incarcerated.
Sadly, your 'proofs' remind me of a LONG LIST of precious brother's I've known who have taken this or that Scripture and built a whole constelation of 'true truth' on it which all other Christians were construed to be wrong on. And, which they felt was more or less key or essential to at least a 'proper' Christian walk. Some felt their pet issues were essential for salvation.
I'm wondering what Christ would see in person reading your extensive post on this thread and responding in person as we all do. Part of me thinks He would be kind of 'shocked' if that were possible for Him. And, kind of sadly wistful that you'd gone off to such an extreme degree.
I mostly agree with your preference in terms of my own preferences about the issue. But I don't consider it anywhere near an essential of the faith nor an essential of practicing Christianity. I can imagine folks in the center of God's will on both sides of the issue.
FWIW, that's my hO.

Once upon a time, I was a student of math and logic. This was the natural course for me, personaly, as I craved a true understanding of the Logos.
Indeed, I have done a bit of homework, and, I have also had to live through a few hard times. Most of those crosses have been carried, and now it seems that my burden is light.
Still, I have my roots, and my nature, which is not to be lightly dismissed. I pay attention to a lot of things. I have little tolerance for bullshit artists. I have no tolerance for racists, including (most especially) anti-Semites. I will not be silent on these issues.
