That's not
all to the Matthew Sheppard story:
I will allow that he certainly did not deserve to die, but how many here know that Sheppard grabbed one of those guys on the a$$, and that he had tried to kiss the other?
Yep.
This was an out-of-the-blue homo pick-up attempt in a Wyoming honky-tonk bar, mind you --not exactly the kind of place to be bringing your Belgian habits (Sheppard was American, but had lived in Belgium for a long time and apparently took a liking to the local chocolate).
Not the best judgement, no sir.
Those rough-necks were so insulted that they led him on a bit, got him out of the place and into a venue that made him a bit more vulnerable, and proceeded to give perky Matty boy a little lesson in Wyoming manners...
Was it bad? Yes, it really was. But they didn't want to kill him, and it wasn't like they chose him --HE had chosen THEM. The Sheppard story is a masterpiece of leftist propaganda.

The Texas defense? I didn't want to kill him but he really needed it.

You'll never hear that in the mainstream media. Obviously he shouldn't have been murdered, but a black eye would have been appropriate.

I saw a movie about the Sheppard murder.
It shows the guys who tortured and killed Sheppard approaching him and telling him they are gay and theywant to get together.
Leftist BS?

The whole "lead him on to teach him a lesson later" b.s. is just wrong.

"Sheppard grabbed one of those guys on the a$$, and that he had tried to kiss the other? ... Those rough-necks were so insulted that they led him on a bit ..." Wow, that makes so much sense. I for one, whenever I get uninvited attention, I always make sure I lead the guy on, take him to a dark alley and bludgeon him to death. A harsh word or a slap on the face just doesn't say it like a good bit of Christian love about the head with a blunt object.
Funny the story never did seem to come straight: was the reason robbery, McKinney's repressed sexual confusion, methamphetamines and alcohol, or just good ol' "Wyoming manners"? I guess with defense attorneys around, we'll never get the true story, although I've always been suspicious of the secret leanings of those who harbour so much hate toward Queers.
"Was it bad? Yes, it really was." But not as bad as being openly Queer, right?
"But they didn't want to kill him, and it wasn't like they chose him --HE had chosen THEM." If they didn't want to kill him, then why did they beat him to within an inch of his life, and then leave him there to die? He chose them - right. He said "Hey there good looking, why don't we three take a walk to a private place so you can beat me to death?" or was it "Hey, I'm a drunk Queer and I'd be easy to seduce and then rob" [shakes head]
