You're lucky to be raised Republican. I had to fly the family coop to become one.but your perspective is in some respects therefore more valid. you examined and made the choice, overcoming the prejudice of upbringing. to examine and choose the right thing is certainly as admirable as it gets. hats off to you.

I'm waiting for Dubya to say,
This is the judge I want in there, and he will be approved. I'm still waiting.

My "intervention" was education when PC was not around, thank God. My died-in-the-wool dem aunt still makes what she considers "cute" remarks about my choice.

AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! My eardrums just burst! He actually said that President Bush's nominations were treated better than clinton's. Please, let the lighting strike now.

I just called the cloak-room, talked to the pubbie side; told them they need to point out that the dems only care about liberal minorities, not conservative minorities, they need to get down and dirty. I thanked them for their effort, but told them they need to get a little more cantankerous.

Maybe what we are seeing tonight is the movement to ouster the 10 or so rats left who are a detriment to the Republic.
Would anyone please call in the Viking Kitties for Sen. Reid?
Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison up now.

Durbin repeats the lie that the President has no right under the Constitution to appoint judges. Only the Senate can appoint judges, he says.
Kay Bailey Hutchison back up.

** He actually said that President Bush's nominations were treated better than clinton's.**
This is not true.
Bush has had the least number of nominees approved by the Senate.
