Can they really get away with this? This reminds me of watching Babs on the Rosie show. when Rosie televised the Dem fundraiser for Gore that no one else would show, where BAbs was shrieking about how if Bush were elected it , the real issue is the SCOTUS. The Dems ahve been planning this for along time.

"They don't have the votes. Santorum told Hannity yesterday there are 12 holdouts on 'our side'. I see.
Conundrum.
Is there any chance that if THEY had majority and we filibustered that THEY would stick together and change the rules?
I guess our recourse is the ballot box. We need to replace some "reblicans" and all democrats (save Zell).

... intermittant running to the kitchen to stir the grits for the baby's breakfast Mmmmmm ... grits. This northern boy learned to love 'em. They are a regular part of our diet.
I wish I could give you an update. I slept from about 1:30 to about 7:30, and didn't pay much attention to the teevee until 8:15 or so. I'm setting myself up for the big letdown, to be concluded at 10:00 AM or so.
I think the Senate should immediately move to the matters described as "important" by the DEMs, and the session should not be adjourned until those matters have been properly debated and concluded (VA funding, minimum wage, "jobs", etc.)

When the unanimous consent request to extent time was passed last night it was agreed that @ 9:30 there would be a vote on Cloture. ( I think that's right)
