Good! Giving details of Pickering's accomplishments ( and in prime time too!) Let Americans who have not been paying attention so far hear this!

I'll just bet that there is no other forum that has almost 4,000 posts on this historical moment.

But one is speaking as I write this, who has three times referred to James Madison as the source of the "cooling saucer" of the Senate. But this Senator is apparently so fond of hearing his own words that he is not listening even to his own colleagues.
Gotta be upChuck. ;-)

It's great to have conversations with knowledgable, well read people. The dem in my area open their mouths and emit materials minus the facts....otoh, that's pretty well national behavior...
Yes it is indeed hoosiermama. But I can tell you without a doubt I am glad I am not up their debating with the dimwits. I have a very short fuse while watching them here at home so I know if I were there it wouldn't look like a senate debate, rather it would look like a R rated version of WWE Monday Night Raw!
I wonder what Hitlery would do against Senator Stone Cold Steve Austin?

Sessions is reading a resolution from the Michigan State Senate condemning the U.S. Senate's inaction on judicial nominations.

I used to have a hard time with minimum wage until I went hunting in Fordyce AR. (birthplace of Paul 'Bear' Bryant) and we went to the Walmart store for some camp supplies. Driving through the business district as small as it was, was shut down completly as you could get anyting you wanted cheaper at Walmart. Walmart is the largest employeer in the U.S. and has destroyd the Mom and Pop business in every town they set up shop. Granted that if you build a better mouse trap and all you should get the rewards.
Well Walmart did build that mouse trap and in doing so they work every supplier for the lowest possible price and if possible that would include human beings and their time.
I worked for Dillards Department Stores and we paid much better in the Dallas/Ft Worth area than we did in Waco, Tulsa Ok, or any of the smaller markets where we had stores.
Yes in some markets we were able to pay minimum wage for most of the jobs in the store.
Knowing Walmart and how that company has changed since the death of the founder Sam Walton, I for one believe that Walmart would test every market they could in order to determine the least they would need to pay and then cut hours so they wouldn't have to pay benefits.
I live in the Dallas area and minimum wage is pretty non-exsistant because if that is all you are willing to pay you will not get anyone worth hiring.

LOL!
I've often wanted to see a map of the floor and the camera locations to get some perspective on the shots. From different views, it sometimes looks like they are all in different places(not just positions of the same room).

Sessions up now - Michigan State Senate says the US Senate is endangering the well being of the US ..... allowing continual obstruction........
Talking about 4 judges alone from Michigan being held up.
Michigan Senate asking them to stop holding up these nominess
This matter is about the rule of law..... it is up to the judge to apply the law fairly and objectively .... Pres. Bush has his hand on what is wrong in the courts like having the pledge struck down, sentences vacated, etc.

Sadly, I don't think most Americans are watching this. They will formulate their opinions from the ABCNBCCBS evening views. Doesn't Oprah come on about this time of day?
OK, folks. Please hose me down with bleach and iodine!
I just visited The Dark Side **Yuck**
They're calling Zell Miller a joke. Woman who Bush Raped. Same old Brabra Streisand.

Until the internet/cable congresscritters could say just about anything they wanted and no one knew. They were never held accountable for their actions/words.
Things are changing and those of us on FR and similar places are leading the pack.
Make those calls: 1-800-648-3516

University police received a call Wednesday telling them about the vandalism. The words "Bush dies 12-10-03" and "Iraq" were found painted on the Nittany Lion shrine, a stone statue that depicts the university's mascot, university police supervisor Bill Moerschbacher said. On The Shine ?!?!?!
