I hope to actually *see* a filibuster tonight! Never seen one. Not sure I will.
How does the majority filibuster..... A filibuster is conducted by the minority when they want to stop a cloture vote on an item..... The majority just doesn't call it to the floor if they don't want it to be discussed or voted on.
This is only a talkathon by Frist and the Pubbies..... Daschle and the Dems decided to join in the fun and get their licks in also.....
Heck tough duty....... allocate an hour to some 30 Pubs and let them share 30 minutes each with some Dem and we'll have a gab fest....
Your tax dollars at work..... At least they aren't raising taxes in this 30 hour gab fest......

It would be funny as hell to see them employ the 'nuclear option' at this moment, though I'm not sure how that would work.

There were two threads going re this, one started at 7:00 or so am, this one just started. I'm leaving it up to everyone to decide which thread they want to have as the active thread.

I would if I could. So pathetic. So full of himself.
I hear you can't go a block in W. VA without seeing a building, a street or a bridge named after him. The ultimate porker.

I'd love to see it; I don't have much confidence in them now.
I feel like they're arguing over the shape of the table!

The other one was first. That usually is the policy. We are discussing fairness this evening.
To: Admin Moderator
MY vote is to lock this one and go with the first thread...

Why isn't anyone making a deal about the fact that this type of filibuster is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!!!!!???
NEVER in the history of the country...NEVER in more than two centuries of American government, has a federal judicial nominee been DENIED a vote...NEVER! The dems are so desperate for power, they are willing to walk all over the Constitution to get it.
To: Unknown Freeper
What's the link to the other one, then?
