I don't know if this has been addressed before, but can this "discussion" be extended beyond 30 hours if the majority decides to do it? About an hour ago, Lindsay Graham suggested that 30 hours wasn't enough. It would be nice to see them all follow through with that.

"202-225-4691 (Democratic Cloakroom) I just dialed this one, because I wanted to tell the guy to leave a message for Dick Durbin that it's almost midnight, and I've been watching CSPAN2 since about 5:30 PM tonight. However, a recording now tells me that that number is a non-working number for the US Senate. LOL!
Maybe Frist cancelled their phone....hint....hint....wink wink...if you know what I mean...

I called the Republican CloakRoom and told them to keep up the great job. I tried to call the Democrat CloakRoom which is no longer in service. I also tried to call the recording line and was never given the opportunity to leave a message. Typical Democrat Politians yelling I can hear you while there fingers are in their ears and their eyes are shut!!!
=======
I just got through to the dem cloakroom by using the Capitol switchboard number 1-800-648-3516 and asking to be connected. I asked the aide who answered to give a message to Barbara Boxer. Before I could tell him the message, he said 'how did you get this number, no, I'm not going to give anyone a message.' He did not even know who I was, so he must be feeling besieged and/or paranoid tonight.
I started to say "Just tell Senator Boxer to vote against judge Kuhl if she feels it is the right thing to do," but before I could go on, he hung up on me.
I have to say my 2 cloakroom calls tonight have been classic - polite cheerful Republican and rude unhelpful dem.

Call the Cloak Room and tell them they need to read the Constitution, that will get the dems hopping mad. That could be great late night entertainment
To: not-alone
They should go until they bust this fillibuster; 30+ hours; whatever it takes. Keep them in session on saturday, sunday until all the appropriation bills are passed; until they give in to the nominees, and until they stop their stupid games. I'm livid today, as I was yesterday and the day before -- the Rocky memo set me off. I have called the cloak room a number of times tonight; the dem guy is sleeping on the job. Call him NOW. Keep him awake! :-)
Boy! This guy's a real good speaker who really knows how to keep my attenttttttttttzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........

This is a really stupid tactic they are playing...
"There are more important issues we could be working on..."
??If so, vote and get over it...

As long as there aren't the votes for cloture, the nomination is stalled, regardless of whether or not they chose to hold the floor. Then the Republicans should force the Dims to filibuster indefinitely until the cloture vote suceeds. Eh?

We don't post names like that on FR.

Yes, they did. The private decisions as a parent became an issue in Pryor's confirmation hearing. I believe it was Senator Feingold that engaged in that line of questioning.
