Here's to hoping its not a "Ehud Barak" style of retaliation i.e. call the occupants of a targeted building, kindly inform them to vacate the premises as an empty intended show of force is about to take place.

Sounds like they took out a building suspected of being a storage area/safe house for local terrorists.

And where is Fox News on this? They have been doing a poor job lately pulling away from regularly scheduled programs when something really breaking is happening. Hate to switch to CNN during such times, but I have no other choice to see what's happening.

Only a matter of time before Reuters publishes an account of a poor Baghdadi homeless child, who lived there, but is now buried in the rubble...

Succession of Blasts Heard in Baghdad
15 minutes ago Add Top Stories - Reuters to My Yahoo!
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A succession of blasts, up to two dozen, echoed across the Iraqi capital Wednesday night, Reuters witnesses reported.
The location of the blasts was not immediately clear, but insurgents in the past 10 days have fired mortars and rockets at the sprawling compound where the U.S.-led administration has its headquarters on the west side of the Tigris River.
U.S. army officials had no immediate comment.
Iraqi residents near the heavily fortified compound which houses U.S. military bases and the headquarters of the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) ruling Iraq (news - web sites) said they had not heard any explosions from inside the area.
Night-time mortar attacks have underscored the growing boldness of guerrillas confronting U.S.-led occupation forces in Iraq, more than six months after President Bush (news - web sites) declared major combat over on May 1.
