Hopefully the nest was completely full at the time of the op.

Just a guess, mind you, but given that we had our choice of when make the special delivery, I believe we probably made sure first that there were some salamikazes inside to sign for the package.

(11-12) 11:07 PST BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- U.S.-led coalition forces launched a military operation in Baghdad late Wednesday, targeting a facility used by insurgents and setting off explosions that reverberated through the Iraqi capital.

"The facility is a known meeting, planning, storage and rendezvous point for belligerent elements currently conducting attacks on coalition forces and infrastructure," the Pentagon said in a statement from Washington.

"The destruction of this structure will deny enemy forces any use of it in the future."

You bet--I really don't like watching Fox anymore---those idiots on Greta's show---I watch Scarborough. Don't they realize that we are all sick of their kind of news coverage?

The excellent Bob Arnot has been reporting on MSNBC. He's on right now.

Bob Arnot... better than Peter Arnett.

There were reports late last week about greatly increased U.S. air traffic over in England, including KC135s, air refueling planes.

They have been planning this for a while I think. There will probably be more operations soon.

The first thing they teach you in Journalism 101 is to find the answers to the questions: who, what, where, why, when, and how. To our friends at CNN, as well as their confederates on the other networks, and in most of the print media, this morphs into:

Who in the administration can we blame?
What is the spin we can put on this to favor the democrat party?
Where is the most negative element in this story, as it would affect President Bush?
Why is Bush doing this--that is, what's in it for him, personally?
When will this quagmire ever end?
How can we avoid asking any obvious questions that might shed a positive light upon our president, our troops, or our country?

And what are doing watching CNN?

I work in a Network Operations Center for a data processing outsourcing organization. We have a couple of TV's on all the time. One turned to the weather channel, and one tuned to either CNN or Fox. We have prospective customers come in occasionally to tour the facility. I find myself well advised to have the latter TV tuned to CNN, as Fox is much more likely to embarass me with salacious content while I'm trying to talk to the visitors. Say what you will about their politics, but I've been caught out once too many times on this.

Speak for yourself. I love FNC's coverage. And given their ratings, apparently so do many, many others.

Bob Arnot was a treasure during major combat and helping at hospitals in Baghdad afterwards.
