... Soros says Jews and Israel cause anti-Semitism...

Ahhh.
The logic of the clueless.

Exactly the same way that banks "cause" bank robberies.

What exactly has Soros done that engengers all this hatred for him?

I don't like him because he's a Klintonite, the biggest gun grabber in the world today(funds millions to the cause), is a rich leftist, is crooked(Convicted of inside trading), and is extremely anti-freedom.

So Hitler was right after all. The cause of anti-semitism is the Jews.

Thanks for clearing that up, George.

So whats with the anti-semite bit on this thread?

He's a Klintonite gun grabber, a rich leftist, crooked and anti-freedom, so we tar him as a jew hater too?
 Might as well I guess.

My revulsion here is at his promoting the notion that the victims of anti-semitism, which included many many members of my family, somehow brought it on themselves.

He didn't 'promote' that. His quoted remarks in the article are quite understandable, and said nothing like that.

But in any case - go back a few generations , and everyone of european stock had 'members of the family' die in the holocast. Its time we get over being victims.

I didn't bring the issue up. He did, "Mr. Paine".

He brought it up? -- You mean Soros? Learn to read:

--- When Soros stepped to the podium Wednesday to address those issues at a conference of the Jewish Funders Network, audience members were listening carefully.
Many were surprised by what they heard.
When asked about anti-Semitism in Europe, Soros, who is Jewish, said European anti-Semitism is the result of the policies of Israel and the United States.
"There is a resurgence of anti-Semitism in Europe. The policies of the Bush administration and the Sharon administration contribute to that," Soros said. "It's not specifically anti-Semitism, but it does manifest itself in anti-Semitism as well. I'm critical of those policies."
"If we change that direction, then anti-Semitism also will diminish," he said. "I can't see how one could confront it directly."

Since you rule the world, do you think you could get my garbage men to empty my trash can, even though the can is not "regulation size?"

Anyone who appears a guest on Bill Moyers "Now" program, as Soros did, is automatically discredited. But Soros went one step further, by stating, "The Republican Party has been captured by a bunch of extremists". Uh, George, it's the Democratic Party that has been captured by a bunch of extremists.

You'd think he'd be a bit more grateful and "cowboy up" since he was lucky enough to survive the holocaust and quit blaming his kinsmen and benefactors for the lunacy of the moon rock crowd.

Instead, he sounds like some Frenchman mired in arrogance and irony and self doubt.

I think I can promise all of you here that were I worth a few billion or so that self doubt would likely not be a part of my personality.

He's a brilliant hedge fund manager with a view from the top.

He's the world's biggest Powerball winner. The guy's not brilliant at anything.

Looks to me like he is linking anti-semitism to Bush and Sharon, just like our home-grown leftist droids.

I've met him, and work in his field. He's a sharpie in the markets, and no slouch across a chessboard.

His politics, obviously, suck.

Let us know when you decide to take your head out of the sand and realize we can't sit home and just wait for the SAME TERRORISTS WHO HAVE BEEN ATTACKING ISRAEL AND HAVE BEEN
ATACKING AMERICA FOR DECADES.

Calm yourself.. I took an oath to protect and defend many years ago, then served three years, and was discharged only a couple of months before my regiment went to Lebanon in '58.
