I didn't know Alec "The Bloviator" was in it.

No WAY I will see it.
Even though I love the movie Hunt for Red October [where he plays CIA analyst Jack Ryan], the only reason I will watch it now is that someone gave it to me as a gift.

I had the same thought. Why enrich the enemy?

It's very easy to boycott movies. I can't think of a single one, other than "Blackhawk Down," that I've seen in the past five years.

There are better ways to spend your time and money.

Actually, what's the matter with LOVE ACTUALLY? Two of my favorites Laura Linney and Emma Thompson.

THERE IS NOT ONE MAJOR STUDIO MOVIE MADE THAT DOES NOT HAVE ONE OR MORE LIBERALS IN SIGNIFICANT ROLES IN IT, EITHER IN FRONT OF OR BEHIND THE CAMERA. Why don't you simply declare: Hey, let's none of us ever go to a movie again.

Excellent point John. When conservatives start cranking out some quality alternatives, lists like this may actually mean something to me.

"Ok, thanks. I haven't even seen the previews."

If they pan the flick, I tend to be more interested. It's kind of like reading the N&O Election Guide on election eve.

Heck, they panned one of the all-time greatest movies to ever hit the big screen.... Yes, I'm talking about Smokey & The Bandit! The nerve...

You only stated why the first movie should be boycotted. It's your thread. You have the burden of explaining why all five should be boycotted.

Not me... I am obsessing on the politics of my bath soap and toilet paper this week.

LOL! You might have to resort to crushing lavender for soap and using a Sears catalog for TP. Or go European...

Also got to hear their REALLY bad Boston accents....way too forced

2 weeks ago my son and I got Good Will Hunting on Cable and tried to see how many bad accents and scene bloopers we could pick up.

The winner was a scene in a neighborhood bar deep inside South Boston that had black patrons.

That's like showing suburban commuters at Dudley Station.

"you should always check out http://www.PABAAH.com See folks, this is exactly why I do this...I feel it's my duty. LOL"

LOL...Great job, jon! BTW, is that you in the picture on your page? -- the one from Scarborough Country?

If so, how'd you manage that? Scarborough must be a FReeper; he's always on top of all the scoops :+)

Do you know who your entertainment dollars are supporting?

I have boycotted hollywierd for years. If all Americans spent as much money on movies as I spend each year, every actor / actress in hollywierd would be homeless.

Well, it better be vegetarian, or you'll hear from PETA.

I can't wait to see Matrix 3. Matrix 2 was great except for that one never-ending dance party scene. What were they thinking with that?

Have you noticed how these movies are playing down the appearances of certain actors?

No, I haven't. I've been so busy boycotting everything I haven't had the time.

My son went with his buds the other night to see Matrix 3. He said it was much better than 2. They enjoyed it.

>>You see, this is why my favorite actor is Godzilla. You never hear the Big G bad talking the USA.

This is what seems to gall the hell out of me. For all four years of the Bush Administration, ALL of these c*cksuckers (the word is okay for use by Pete Stark, but still not kosher by Jimmy Robinson) in Hollyweird raised hell every single day like stuck pigs over alleged "damages" the Bush Administration is doing/will do to our civil liberties. All they've had to get uppity about, however, has been the war on terrorism, which LEGITIMATELY started on 9/11/01.

EVIDENCE: Here's our mission...Everyone go back to January 20, 2001 and try to find just what the heck Bush/Cheney/Ashcroft has done to ANYONE, celebrity or not, in this country that has been unfair and denied or taken away rights without "REASONABLE CAUSE" over anything but the war on terror?

I submit that Bush & Company have done absolutely NOTHING to these whining, high profile, SOB's and the complaining is over what they think and feel is supposed to happen to them...Kinda like them profiling a black man moving into their neighborhood..."Any minute now, someone's house is going to get broken into!". {We've known all along that the real bigots, racists, homophobes, etc, have been on the leftwing side}

BEFORE WE'RE CALLED HYPOCRITES: During the Clinton years, WE raised hell over Der Sinkmeister, but it was over the moral decay he was underwriting by his personal life and disrespect for the office he held. Now, we're having to deprogram our children (and some adults) in our society who want a free pass on Clintonesque perverted and unethical behavior just because HE reset the bar for eight years as "Bad Example In Chief".

The only reason I will watch it is because Sir Sean Connery is in it.
