Sweetliberty, would you please ping folks to the following info. (sent in email). I am thinking I will send a spoon, too!

The email reads:

"Terri's fortieth birthday is December 3, 2003."

'Cards to her may be sent to:

Theresa Marie 'Terri' Schindler Schiavo
c/o The Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation
4615 Gulf Blvd. # 104-103
St. Petersburg Beach, FL 33707

A spoon was sent to the Vigil that said something like "For Terri's Mom to Feed Terri," and perhaps we could send symbolic spoons to prove the importance to us --
the many that value life and realize so keenly that this is NOT and never has been a 'right to die' issue --
that Terri receive the therapy that she has for so long been denied by her 'husband' and 'caregiver.'
Like the Jarbidge Shovels sent to northeast Nevada -- thousands of them, from all over America --
and the logs that were sent to northwest Montana to help keep the timber industry from becoming a page in a history book,

"Terri Spoons," like "Terri Lights," can show the public, legislators and judges and the press that we mean for Terri to LIVE!

The last I heard, Terri's mother and father will be on Larry King Live on Friday evening (not Thursday evening as was originally scheduled), November 7, 2003,
at 9 o'clock PM EDT.

Email Larry King at: Larry.King.Live3@turner.com

May I suggest? One spoon is enough. Let the rest of us send a birthday card -- starting today -- with a check for Terri's defense and care. Let's send a mountain of cards and checks.

IMO birthday cards will be great but we already did the spoon thing for a press conference. Logistically, the spoons would be a nightmare. Donations are also accepted at the Foundation address. Maybe a card with a little something inside for her devoted family? The Schindlers are the greatest!

...that was my spoon. I made up a bunch before having to leave (which was hard to do) while sitting as close as I could to Terri. A picture was taken of it -- I was surprised & touched to see it made part of Terri's website.

Spoons symbolize Terri's situation for me -- this is what it boils down to: let those who love Terri care for her. Simple as that! So what if she has to be spoon fed! So what if she doesn't progress to that point and requires the feeding tube!

The spoon is easy to mail and doesn't pose a threat (remembering the debate about jello, which was a great idea). It can also be written on ;o) I hope such tiny things by so very many people will save Terri's life -- get her home where she belongs.

I do hope we'll see the end of this soon.
