Do you suppose that more than about 200 of them have the slightest idea who Sherman Dillon is, or what he stands for? There are always these "down-ballot" people in every election who get a couple thousand votes each, and I always wonder who votes for them. And why. |
Well, Dillon is the Green Party candidate, and Musgrove is a pretty conservative Democrat -- pro-life, for example.
Not too surprising he'd pull a few votes from disaffected Naderites...

NEWS ITEM-In the wake of the tight Barber-Musgrove gubernatorial contest in Mississippi, many political scientists were amazed at the relatively strong showing of political neophyte Sherman Dillon.
Local media have made an attempt to contact Mr. Dillon, but the press has been told that the candidate would be unavailable for comment during the evening....
