To his credit, when I wrote him a note telling him what my son had told me, he wrote a letter apologizing and sent son a t-shirt. I didn't hold a grudge. Don't know if son did or not.

Torie is the resident handicapper of Congressional races in the US. He is a lawyer by trade but his true love is handicapping elections and he is better at it than the yoyo's you see on the tube. Way better.

Sounds like Springsteen gargling ....

3 Governor races down (CA, KY, MS). Only one left. The GOP winning the LA race on Nov. 15th would be really huge. A minority Republican winning in a Southern state would create a political earthquake across the nation.

Seriously -- political parties don't last forever. The Republican Party used to be down to double digits in congressmen in the 1930s and 1940s and 30-something senators in the 60s, but they always STOOD FOR SOMETHING. The Democratic Party is headed to those kind of numbers -- after next year, the will likely have governorships in the teens, House members under 200, and perhaps 42 or 43 senators. Republicans stand for smaller govt., lower taxes, and individual freedoms. Democrats have abandoned the good things they stood for (free speech, protecting minority rights, etc) in exchange for constantly shrieking about racism and looking to pointlessly redistribute income. If you slip below 40 senators and 150 house members, lefties may look to a 3rd party.

Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D) who claims to be 99% for abortion and voted for the partial birth abortion ban. The NOW gang is NOT happy. She's a closet liberal who must vote a little conservative to keep her job. (Just like Sen. Mark Pryor)

History will record the Clintons (plural), the feminsts, the homosexuals, the race baiters, and the communists killed the democrat party.
I say election 2002 is the turning point (ala rekyvick) when the democrat party recieved the fatal blow.
Opinions?

"and I erased the katra to make sure he stays dead."
But wait! Musgrove's katra was placed within the living body of candidate Ben Chandler! Now Chandler needs only to climb the steps of Mount Seleya and --
Oh, wait.... he lost, too. Never mind.
