I only wish I was eligible to vote for John Thomas Cripps for governor. A magnificant person, family man and true Southerner and Constitutionalist -- which means, unfortunately, he hasn't got a chance.

I believe you!

Breaux maybe sick of his Democrat colleagues. He's just not as vocal as Miller. Southern Democrat sightings may become as rare as Big foot sightings.

I'm listening to the radio now herei n Las Vegas - the top of the hour national news feed reported the KY win and the announcer said, and then corrected himself, that Miss was a GOP win also. Maybe he saw the exit polls 2 hours ago and slipped! Keep the faith!

Remember Folks, MS has an unusual process of voting for Governor. The Candidate must win a majority of both the statewide popular vote and electoral votes based on House districts. Otherwise, state House selects the Governor.

Warren is a predominately black county is it not? That's Vicksburg and the drop off to the Delta and the Loess Bluffs and river swamps/bottomland elsewhere.
Alcorn is Corinth I think and Monore is between Tupelo and Colombus....those two might be bellweathers.
Do you have a source?
respectfully asked btw?

We really need to organize a massive (and FRIENDLY) FReep of Zell Miller. If we can get him to switch parties, it would devastate the left. He has already endorsed our guys...Why not switch? Give the left a taste of their Jumpin Jim Jeffords medicine.

Zell has already nixed that idea and stated his reasons recently in a Sean Hannity interview.
He basically said one a Dem, always a Dem...but stick to principles on the issues and his are conservative.

I picked this up on another thread today. I read the Constitution of the State of MS on it and still cannot figure the process for determing the electoral votes for Governor.
Musgrove had to be voted in by the State House 4 years ago, because he did not win a majority of the popular vote and tied in the Electoral vote.
