AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - A five-year-old Dutch girl handed out "sweets" to classmates that turned out to be ecstasy, cocaine and heroin pills, police said on Monday.

The drugs were confiscated by a suspicious teacher before any were consumed at the primary school in Hilversum, southeast of Amsterdam. Police arrested the girl's older brothers aged 21, 19 and 16 and her 43-year-old mother.

Large quantities of soft drugs and hard drugs were found in the car of the eldest brother. The brothers were in custody, but their mother was set free after questioning.

You are employing a logical fallacy

Logical fallacies have been authorized for use in the War On Some Drugs.

And no other pollster has ever gotten one wrong

Yeah sooo? You were the one who cited Zogby as the word of God, IMO.

What a stupid mischaracterization.

"Nothing that violates nobody's rights should be prohibited."

Ah, I see. So even things under the influence of which people often do things that deprive people of their rights are okay by you. I get it.

Real nice. Drugs sold everywere. People are afraid to walk the streets at night. Junks, drug tourists and dealers who almost put it up your nose and those nice coffeeshops. Just imagine a nice coffeshop nextdoor, the fine clientel. Nice for small Dutch cities.

Strange how one Turkish family controls half of Venlo (they live a few streets from were I live in my village because no one with sense wants to live in Venlo anymore).
Legalization would make pot cheap and take away the criminal element and take away their profits. Strangely that didn't happen as promised.

But who cares, as long as the ordinary, honest citizens have to pay the price.

I don't need any 'actual arguments'. I just look around in cities like Venlo or Heerlen and see the results of legalization of drugs. And I don't like it

Don't worry about LeRoy, KH. He is trying to tweek his usual FR Libertarian arguement of "cite the evidence of your claim", yada, yada, yada.

You could physically show LeRoy a drug haven, with people acting like animals, and LeRoy would say, IMO, "cite your evidence that drugs caused this".

Drugs sold everywere.

What is the evidence that this is legal? The drug laws of the Netherlands are regularly misstated on FR.

Yes, I think alcohol should be legal ... other drugs, too. (Whether their use is "okay by me" is another question.)

And this would be an outrageous question to the WODdies, who apparently think ringing alarm clocks cause the sun to rise.

As if you don't have a usual argument.

Tune in next week for more antics from the FR WOD comedy team.

"I don't need any 'actual arguments'.....I don't like it."

Priceless.

Ummmm...I don't know how to put this to you, but you do realize that the UN is one of the biggest supporters of our drug war, right?

Come back when a majority of the people support it.

I forgot that we lived in a Democracy, Kofi.

We have had a ton of stories about children bringing guns to school. Some of these instances have resulted in actual deaths. I guess by the logic of the WOsD'ers we should prohibit members of our society from owning guns. By keeping them legal we are ensuring that the children will have access to them. Only by prohibition can we ensure that no guns end up on school property!

Of course that means scraping the constitution, that's ok, it's for the children!

The vast majority of drug warriors on FR scoff at the concept of literal interperetation of the 2nd Amendment.

Yeah dude, drugs should be free for everyone to use, even your children, heavy!

Yeah, I see so many libertarians arguing that point here on FR </sarcasm>

Can you say, "Strawman?"

What is the tax rate in your city and country? I would venture a high tax rate is driving the productive, casual users of substances away and leaving the dreggs that would suck off the government anyway!
