The President, on another busy day, visited Birmingham, AL, to speak at Crane Works, a heavy construction company, and then attended a Bush-Cheney fund-raising luncheon. He then attended a rally in London, Kentucky.

At the Crane Company, Pres. Bush said last week's report that the U.S. economy surged in the third quarter was good news for American workers and called on Congress to keep his administration's policies intact.

I also heard on Fox News that the President in planning on flying to CA to view the damage from the forest fires, which will allow him to spend another night at his ranch.

Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya, and welcome to sanity island!

President Bush considers a thought during an address on the economy to about 500 people gathered in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday, Nov. 3, 2003. Bush delivered the address before attending a fund-raising luncheon.

President Bush is introduced by Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., at a Bush-Cheney 2004 fund-raising luncheon in Birmingham, Ala.

Being greeted by supporters at a fund raising luncheon.

The Reuters text for the above picture (which I didn't like) was "One year before American voters render their verdict on President George W. Bush the 2004 White House campaign is shaping up as another potential cliffhanger fought largely over economic issues and Iraq (news - web sites). Voters who will choose between Bush and a still-to-be -determined Democrat challenger on Nov. 2, 2004, are almost as concerned about the economy now as they were in late 1991, when the issue scuttled the re-election chances of former President George Bush, the current president's father, pollsters say."

Feel free to comment on that one!

President Bush, greets supporters and contributors after speaking at a Bush-Cheney 2004 fund-raising luncheon in Birmingham, Ala., Monday, Nov. 3, 2003. Bush raised $1.85 million for his re-election campaign at the Birmingham rundraiser.

President Bush has his photo taken as he greets members of the crowd that gathered in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday, Nov. 3, 2003. Bush delivered an address on the economy before attending a fund-raising luncheon.

"US President George W. Bush attends a rally in London, Kentucky. Key US newspapers said that the bloodiest day for US forces in Iraq had increased pressure on Bush to retain public support for the US occupation."

That's the quote that was shown with this picture on Yahoo - from Reuters. Just you don't love how "they" speak for all of us - "increased pressure on Bush to retain public support for the US occupation." Ugh - note that word "occupation"!!!!

Hey, could you let this newbie get her photos up? Sheesh, you guys are in such a rush! (/rant off).

Actually, I appreciate the help. I found some pics of our precious Military in the Balitmore Airport, where mystery-ak's Mike landed at 0500 EST (that's 5 AM, for you civilians), but I can't get them to post. I'll keep trying - they'll rip your heart out. Sniff.

I'm on a one-user computer, and a MAC. WHY would I want a fire wall?

Fascinating information, by the way.
